Conveyors

Amos - Auger Screw Conveyor Systems

Auger Screw Conveyor Systems utilize auger conveyors for efficient bulk material handling. They are used to feed scrap material to recycling and shredding equipment because of their ability to separate bundled material and meter feed. Auger Screw Conveyor Systems utilize an auger to break up, separate, and/or transfer materials. They are easy to operate and virtually maintenance-free. Auger Screw Conveyor Systems are engineered to handle a wide range of scrap for processing to a variety of sizes. They include many options depending on the type and form of the material, as well as any specific storage or recycling requirements.

Amos - Infeed & Discharge Conveyors

Infeed Belt Conveyors maximize efficiency by partially automating the feeding of the shredder. Belt conveyors utilize industrial pulleys to convey material along a continuous loop.  Discharge Belt Conveyors automate the output by directly discharging into a baler, compactor, or another type of material handling equipment.  Infeed & Discharge Belt Conveyors are available in belt widths from 16” to 72” wide as well as various lengths. The conveyor belt material can consist of rough top, PVC 120, or urethane.  Infeed & Discharge Belt Conveyors are available in attached or free-standing models and can include fixed or variable speed controls.  Infeed & Discharge Belt Conveyors have options that options include hoppers, side guides, baler hoods, photo eyes, and top covers. These industrial belt conveyors are available in medium-duty, heavy-duty, and extra-heavy-duty models.

Shredder

Amos - Hammer Mill Shredders

Hammer Mill Shredders provide a uniform particle size and are used for the destruction of paper, wood, metal, stone, and other waste materials. Hammer Mill Shredders use free-swinging hammers that shred, shear, and tear at material until it is small enough to pass through interchangeable screens. Hammer Mill Shredders can include an integrated air cyclone system that contains the dust generated from the shredding process. Hammer Mill Shredders can be combined with a dual shaft pre-shedder to create a two-stage shredding process that reduces the size of the material before it is fed into the hammer mill in order to increase throughput.

Amos - Dual Shaft Shredders

Dual Shaft Shredders utilize two shafts that counter rotate and are ideal for a variety of destruction and primary size reduction applications. Two Shaft Shredders are often used for document destruction, e-scrap, and product destruction as well as pre-shredding tissue, wood scrap, tires, counterfeit goods, household products and automotive parts for further processing. Dual Shaft Shredders offer a variety of cutter configurations to process material, while avoiding jams, to offer high continuous throughput. Dual Shaft Shredders are low-speed, high torque industrial shredders that result in lower heat and dust generation than high-speed, low torque shredders.

Amos - Quad Shaft Shredders

Quad Shaft Shredders utilize four shafts that counterrotate, making them ideal for applications that require a uniform particle size. Quad Shaft Shredders utilize a sizing screen to keep circulating the material until it reaches the desired particle size. Quad Shaft Shredders include hex shafts for durability and hard-faced alloy cutters in a variety of profiles. Quad Shaft Shredders can easily be integrated with ancillary equipment to create complete four shaft shredding systems for efficient waste reduction or separation.

Separators

Amos - Magnetic Separators

Magnetic Separators use a magnetic field to automatically sort non-ferrous and ferrous materials. These self-cleaning magnets remove tramp iron and purify material conveyed in bulk form. Magnetic Separators can replace or retrofit existing equipment to turn your material handling conveyor into a material separation conveyor.

Amos - Eddy Current Separators

Eddy Current Separators use a magnetic rotor with alternating polarity, spinning rapidly inside a non-metallic drum that is driven by a conveyor belt. Eddy Current Separators work by utilizing high-strength magnetic forces to repel and eject non-ferrous metals. Eddy Current Separators are applied to conveyor belts carrying mixed waste. Eddy current rotors are at the end so that non-ferrous metals caught in the eddy current end up in product bins, while other materials fall off the belt due to gravity. Non-ferrous metals typically separated by Eddy Current Separators include aluminum, copper, and die-cast metals.

Other

Amos - Gaylord Box Dumpers

Gaylord Box Dumpers will lift and empty Gaylord boxes to increase efficiency & reduce operator fatigue. They require 3-phase power and the frame is constructed of reinforced formed steel that includes a retaining bar that adjusts from 24″ to 48″ high. Gaylord Box Dumpers were engineered to allow easy access to the hydraulic and electrical components. They must be lagged to the floor and require a 130″ or 150″ ceiling clearance, for discharge heights of 48″ and 60″ respectively.

Amos - Vibratory Feeders

Vibratory Feeders spread out the flow of material, which allows you to meter the product for optimum throughput. They are available for light, medium, or heavy-duty applications and can control the feeding of a variety of bulk materials. Vibratory Feeders are tailored to the application based on the required volume, speed, and material density. Vibratory Feeders are known for their versatility and low maintenance. They can be combined with conveyors for controlled movement of material, or manufactured with features that reduce the level of sound and/or limit the amount of dust.

Amos - Cart Tippers

Cart Tippers lift and empty 64 and 96 gallon domestic and European carts. They can be used with shredders, vertical balers, conveyors, and compactors to assist with material handling. Cart Tippers are available in our standard 43”, 50″ or 56″ discharge heights. They have a high arc, which requires a high ceiling.
