AMSA BCP - Chemical Cooling Water Systems 1000 Series

AMSA - Solid Slow Release Tablets

AMSA, Inc. sells Dow Sump Buddy DBNPA tablets as a complement to our DTEA II™; products and as a service to our customers. This solid, water-soluble formulation releases DBNPA biocide at a slow rate as it dissolves in water. It has all the biocidal performance expected of the DBNPA liquid formulation, that is, a highly effective quick kill and subsequent rapid degradation.

AMSA - Biocide

DBNPA is a highly effective, environmentally friendly biocide. It provides a quick kill while also quickly degrading in water. The final end product is carbon dioxide and ammonium bromide. AMSA recommends and sells DBNPA for use with DTEA II under appropriate conditions.

BCP™ 1015 - Organic Deposit Penetrant, Dispersant, Cleaner and Corrosion Inhibitor

BCP™ 1015 chemistry penetrates, disperses and cleans organic deposits in industrial process and building comfort cooling systems. BCP™ 1015 cleans fouled industrial cooling water systems, both open and closed loops. Dosing BCP™ 1015 as a part of a regular maintenance program in conjunction with other industrial water treatment chemicals, keeps surfaces clean. BCP™ 1015 is compatible with oxidizing and non-oxidizing biocides and helps them work more efficiently. The benefits of clean surfaces include less susceptibility to microbially influenced corrosion, reduction of biofilm that harbor pathogens such as Legionella and more efficient heat transfer and evaporation in the cooling tower fill. 

DTEA II™ SR Tablet - Slow Release Tablet with DTEA II™

DTEA II™ SR tablets penetrate, disperse and clean organic deposits in industrial cooling water systems. The tablet is a slow release solid designed to provide cleaning chemistry for small to medium sized cooling water systems (250 RT [refrigeration tons, 3,000 gallons] for up to three weeks. DTEA II™ SR solid slow release tablet is used in conjunction with a liquid or solid based water treatment program to keep system surfaces clean. The benefits of clean surfaces include less susceptibility to microbially influenced corrosion, reduction of biofilm that harbor pathogens such as Legionella and more efficient heat transfer and evaporation in the cooling tower fill. The solid slow release formulation is convenient as no feeders or pumps are necessary for dosing and reliable as it slowly releases in the system. DTEA II™ SR Plus SC tablets are a slow release chemistry solution for maintaining clean cooling towers. These tablets are an `all-in-one` tablet solution for penetrating and dispersing organic deposits as well as providing scale and corrosion inhibition. They are designed to treat small to medium sized cooling towers (250 RT [refrigeration tons, 3,000 gallons] for up to one month. These tablets provide reliable slow release dosing without the need for specialized feeding equipment. They are user-friendly solids that ship via UPS. DTEA II™ SR Plus SC tablets are an ideal solution for maintaining small to medium sized cooling towers.

Two formulations provide the benefits of DTEA II as an organic deposit penetrant, dispersant and remover, as well as a yellow metal corrosion inhibitor – either alone, or in combination with added scale and mild steel corrosion inhibitors.

AMSA - Cleaning Fouled Systems

BCP 2175 is a multi-purpose product. Its primary use is as a powerful organic deposit cleaner, deposit penetrant, and deposit dispersant in industrial water systems. This is a “cross-over” product and thus, it provides the benefits of 2 active ingredients, a blend of the classic DTEA II (BCP 1000 chemistry) and BCP 2000. BCP 2175 and biocide provides a cost effective Biofilm Control Program (BCP). In particular, using BCP 2175 in a Legionella cleanup and subsequent maintenance program can be effective. When used as a cleaner/dispersant, BCP 2175 provides copper corrosion inhibition comparable azoles. When used with citric acid, in formulated form or co-fed, it provides excellent mild steel corrosion inhibition.
