Anaero Technology - Caterpillar - Ten Automatically Fed 1-litre Reactors

Anaero Technology offers lab-scale anaerobic digestion research bioreactors designed for automatic feeding of heterogeneous feedstock, replicating full-scale anaerobic digestion (AD) processes. These advanced systems incorporate components such as feeders, digesters, digestate tanks, and gas flow meters, ensuring precise mass balances within a gas-tight setup. The bioreactors support frequent feeding with automatic feeders capable of delivering small slurry volumes with precision. Mixed feeds with a 19% dry solids average, commonly entering full-scale food waste AD plants, have been used with these bioreactors for over 8 years. This approach helps address challenges such as foaming, inhibition, and optimal loading, which often skew results when managed manually. By leveraging real feed instead of diluted alternatives, these bioreactors significantly contribute to mixed feedstock research, including food waste and sludge. Equipped with gas flow meters and data loggers, the system is well-suited for advancing AD process research and optimization.

Anaero Technology - Model BMP - Three 5 Litre Reactors for Bio-methane Potential Tests (BMP)

The Pegasus model offers three 5 litre reactors for bio-methane potential tests (BMP). It features robust stainless steel mixers, easy sample handling, and a second tank for digestate storage. The reactors are made of 316 stainless steel and have a large volume of 3 litres each. The Pegasus model also provides air-tight ports for accessing the reactors during the tests, allowing pH monitoring, nutrient supplementation, or sampling. Additionally, the stainless steel paddles ensure thorough mixing even for high solid substrates.
