Design-Build as a project delivery method has significantly increased in popularity over the last several decades. Some estimate that as much as 40% of non-residential construction projects are Design-Build. The benefits of Design-Build are clear. Our industrial automation team provides flexible and comprehensive solutions to the most complex automation requirements. How? We partner with customers on the front-end of the design process to ensure customer needs are integrated into a complete – often modular – system. As a single-source solution, Egan is able to design, fabricate and commission controls system packages that can be quickly installed on site. In one instance, our modular system was in production just 60 hours after arriving at the customer’s site. Our process significantly reduces field startup timing. In our modular systems, Egan’s VDC specialists also incorporate all electrical and controls into the design, eliminating interference problems typically associated with field (or “stick-built”) construction.

Automated building controls adjust your facility’s equipment automatically in order for the systems to function as efficiently as possible. Building controls can save as much as 20 to 25% in energy costs. With such a potential for cost savings, building controls have a quick return on investment – about two years on average for our customers. And because we build our controls systems on an open-source platform, customers have the freedom to make future adjustments as their operations’ needs change.
