Bacteria - Growth

ABI - Bacillus Mucilaginosus

Applied Biotech Industries Bacillus mucilaginosus is a bacteria used to solubilize phosphorus (P), potassium (K) and make silica (Si) more available in soil.  The bacterial strain solubilizes and releases phosphorus and dissolves potassium-rich minerals in soil. It releases silica into plant-available form by breaking down substances such as mica. Bacillus mucilaginosus also increases micronutrient availability, including Ca, Su, Mg, Fe and Zn. Through these mechanisms, Bacillus mucilaginosus promotes root growth, increases fertilizer utilization and promotes larger crop yields.

ABI - Bacillus Megaterium

Applied Biotech Industries Bacillus megaterium is a beneficial bacteria used to increases phosphorus in soil. The bacterial strain produces organic acids which release phosphorus ions from otherwise inaccessible substances in soil. These acids dissolve insoluble soil phosphates through chelation which increase the levels of phosphorus in soil that are available for root uptake. Bacillus megaterium is adaptable across a wide range of soil types, pH levels, and temperatures. It is a fast-growing bacterial strain that produces a diverse range of plant beneficial enzymes. Bacillus megaterium stimulates the plants’ ability to produce phytohormones and also assists with micronutrient transport and availability.

ABI - Bacillus Pumilus

Bacillus pumilus, manufactured by Applied Biotech Industries, is a bacteria for crop residue breakdown and degradation of organics.  Additionally it increases the availability of nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) and other nutrients in soil. The bacterial strain promotes seed germination and the growth of roots, buds and seedlings. It also plays a significant growth promoting role in the common model plant Arabidopsis, along with peppers, tobacco and soybeans. Bacillus pumilus enhances plants’ resistance to various bacterial, fungal and viral diseases. The strain can induce crops, including cucumber and tobacco, to produce disease resistant compounds to ward off viral diseases and bacterial leaf spot.
