APS Silt Stop® anionic polymers are used to prevent erosion on slopes and control sediment runoff. Soil specific polymer additions (in granular or liquid form) can assist temporary or permanent grassing by binding the seed, fertilizer, mulch, and soil together until the grass germinates.

APS Floc Logs® can be used to clarify stormwater removing turbidity such as sediment, heavy metals, and inanimate nutrients  reducing the total suspended solids. Water treatment is much easier when the soil is treated at the source. Less sediment being picked up by stormwater means the less sediment that is moving off site, the less turbid your stormwater is, and ultimately the more cost effective solution.

Mud/ Sediment Removal: APS Silt Stop® Powders can be used for mud thickening to remove unmanagable muck. Highly saturated soils can be messy and difficult to remove without spilling or dripping. Apply the soil-specific anionic polymer evenly over the surface of the sediment.  Using the bucket of the removal equipment, stir it into the soil to a maximum of 3 feet deep.  Allow the polymer to react with the soil for 10-20 minutes, the more mixing that is done, the less time this will take. The polymer will cause the sediment to thicken, allowing for easier removal.

To be used for to slow the velocity of stormwater in areas of concentrated flow, reducing the erosive capabilities of the water and allowing suspended sediment to settle out.  Not for use in flowing streams.
