Sonic Anemometers - Ultrasonic Anemometer - Probe Styles

ATI - Ultrasonic Anemometer

This is the newest ultrasonic anemometer in the Meteorological Instruments Product Line. The Ultrasonic Anemometer offers greater accuracy and reliability than mechanical cups and vanes. This meteorological instrument is designed for government and educational institutions doing studies in meteorological fields. The `A` style Sonic Anemometer is a 3 axis, 3d, 15 cm, non-orthogonal scientific meteorological instrument that has been designed for applications that require a high range of wind velocity. The electronics are contained within the probe bar. It operates on DC power with a power consumption of less than 100ma (depending on options). This meteorological instrument can be used in many different weather systems for highly accurate wind speed, wind direction and temperature information. The new design incorporates leveling and vibration monitoring capabilities.

ATI - Ultrasonic Anemometer

The `K` style Sonic Anemometer is a 3 axis, 3d, 15 cm, scientific Ultrasonic Anemometer that has been designed for atmospheric boundary layer studies. The design of this probe minimizes flow distortion errors. The electronics are contained within the probe bar. It operates on DC power with a power consumption of less than 100ma (depending on options). This meteorological instrument can be used in many different weather systems for highly accurate wind speed, wind direction and temperature information. These instruments have been established for use in Eddy Covariance work, which includes Momentum Fluxes, Latent Heat Fluxes and Sensible Heat Fluxes. The new design incorporates leveling and vibration monitoring capabilities.

ATI - Ultrasonic Anemometer

The `Sx` style Ultrasonic Anemometer is a 3 axis, 3d, 15 cm, scientific Ultrasonic Anemometer that has been designed for environmental monitoring where the horizontal wind measurements are required to be in the same plane. The W component measurement on the upwind side of the probe provides the most accurate and unobstructed value of vertical winds.

Applied Technologies, Inc. - Ultrasonic Anemometer - "V" Probe. The `V` style Ultrasonic Anemometer is a 3 axis, 3d, 10 cm, scientific Ultrasonic Anemometer that is a special design for turbulence, where eddy measurements must be the smallest, for flux measurements in plant and forest canopies where wind speeds are very low and directions are highly unpredictable. The electronics are contained within the probe bar. It operates on DC power with a power consumption of less than 100ma (depending on options). This meteorological instrument can be used in many different weather systems for highly accurate wind speed, wind direction and temperature information. These instruments have been established for use in Eddy Covariance work, which includes Turbulent Fluxes, Momentum Fluxes, Latent Heat Fluxes and Sensible Heat Fluxes. The new design incorporates leveling and vibration monitoring capabilities.

ATI - Ultrasonic Anemometer

The `Vx` style Ultrasonic Anemometer is a 3 axis, 3d, 15 cm, scientific Ultrasonic Anemometer is a compact design for flux measurements in plant and forest canopies where wind speeds are very low and directions are highly unpredictable.

This special `Vxsp` style Ultrasonic Anemometer probe, is a 3 axis, 3d, 15 cm, scientific Ultrasonic Anemometer. The design incorporates a full circle on both axes, which not only strengthens the arms, but protects the probe from getting caught on any cables and/or vegetation in close proximity. Like the regular “Vx” probe, it is capable of flux measurements in plant and forest canopies and any other turbulent areas where wind speeds are extremely low, and directions are highly unpredictable. The electronics are contained within the probe bar. It operates on DC power with a power consumption of less than 100ma (depending on options). This meteorological instrument can be used in many different weather systems for highly accurate wind speed, wind direction and temperature information.

DataPacker/DataLogger - Data Collection and Data Synchronization Device

Data synchronization and data collection device. This meteorological instrument will accept multiple Ultrasonic Anemometer outputs from a variety of digital instruments, along with multiple analog sensor outputs, and combine and synchronize the data into a single output for your weather system.

FluxPak - Flux Measurement System

The measurement of fluxes such as sensible heat, momentum, and latent heat, require a fixed set of instruments and software, operating the Eddy Co-variance Method. Applied Technologies, Inc. has put together a complete package of instruments and software that can be configured into a variety of systems to perform this task.  It`s called the FluxPak.

High Speed & High Accuracy Temperature System

If there is a requirement for a temperature measurement with some unusual parameters, there may be a solution that will help solve these issues. There might be occasions when there is a requirement for a fast response temperature measurement. Or there might be a requirement for trying to get an accurate temperature measurement with a high resolution temperature reading. Or there might be a requirement for measuring a fast temperature transition. Or there might be a requirement for getting a quick temperature reading without waiting for a normal thermometer to settle down. Applied Technologies, Inc. has a probe that can perform unusual requirements, for air or a good deal of the gases, when making temperature measurements. It can provide a high speed temperature, a high resolution temperature, a fast temperature measurement, and a highly accurate temperature.

Sonic Anemometer

The “SPAS/2Y style sonic anemometer is a 2 axis, 15 cm Ultrasonic Anemometer.  This sensor offers high quality performance in an less expensive package.  The electronics are contained within the probe and a single cable connects it to your PC.  This sensor can provide the same accuracy and resolution of the scientific Ultrasonic Anemometer, with the exception of the mechanical direction.  This probe is designed to meet the needs of ultrasonic anemometer users.  This meteorological instrument can be used in many different weather systems for accurate wind speed, wind direction and temperature information.
