APT Advanced Polymer Tubing GmbH products
Fluoropolymer Tubing - PFA
APT - Standard-PFA Tubing for Industrial, Laboratory, and Medical Applications
APT specializes in the production of PFA (Perfluoralkoxy) tubes, which are advanced materials resulting from the copolymerization of TFE (Tetrafluoroethylene)and PPVE (Perfluopropylvinylether). These tubes share chemical similarities with PTFE(Polytetrafluoroethylene) but differentiate through a lower melt viscosity, allowing them to be processed using standard melt extrusion equipment. APT offers an extensive range of PFA tube sizes, from as small as 0.10 mm to as large as 110 mm, available in both metric and inch dimensions. Custom coloring is also possible based on specific client needs using the RAL-color system. These tubes can be manufactured as single or multi-layered, providing consistent tolerances. Thanks to these attributes, PFA tubing finds applications in the industrial, laboratory, and medical sectors. APT`s PFA products are renowned for their high purity, certified for food contact, and hold the Teflon Diamond quality seal, a mark of distinction from The Chemours Company.
Fluoropolymer Tubing - FEP
APT - Standard FEP Tubing for Industrial Applications
Standard FEP, or Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene, tubing is a high-performance fluoropolymer known for its exceptional temperature and chemical stability. This copolymer of Hexafluoropropylene (HFP) and Tetrafluoroethylene (TFE) has a melting point of 260°C (500°F) and is suitable for continuous use at temperatures up to 205°C (401°F). APT offers a comprehensive range of FEP tubing with diameters from 0.10 mm to 110 mm, suited for an array of industrial applications. Their products are available in standard coils of 50 or 100 meters and can be customized in both metric and inch sizes. Quality assurance is achieved through continuous x-ray measurement and automated visual inspection. Applications extend into various industries, benefitting from FEP's superior characteristics such as insulation, chemical resistance, and flexibility. APT’s tubing solutions, including multi-layer constructions and welding rods, are NSF-certified and recognized for their high-purity standards, integral in sectors like the semiconductor industry.
Shrink Tubes
APT - Model PTFE-FEP - Dual Wall Heat Shrink Tubes for Cable Connections
APT Advanced Polymer Tubing GmbH provides technically advanced dual-wall heat shrink tubes utilizing a synergistic combination of materials: an outer Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) layer and an inner Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene (FEP) layer. These tubes shrink at temperatures around 330°C and transform the FEP layer to a semifluid state, achieving a dense, enduring coating upon cooling. Technically, the integration of these materials results in a robust structure that withstands extreme temperatures from -200°C to 210°C. The tubes are proficient in forming waterproof and chemically resistant seals, suitable for aerial and moisture-proof cable connections, especially in challenging environments. With their NSF-certified fluoropolymer tubing solutions and the Teflon™ Diamond quality seal, APT aligns their products with high standards of quality and rigorous industry requirements.
APT - FEP Heat Shrink Tubes for High UV Stability and Chemical Resistance
APT's FEP heat shrink tubes are crafted from high-purity fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) and are renowned for their robust stretchability and extended lifespan, catering to demanding applications across various technical environments. As a member of the fluoropolymer family, FEP offers significant advantages including exceptional UV stability and minimal adhesive properties due to its smooth surface, enhancing its functionality in a wide temperature range. It is particularly resistant to both acids and bases, which extends its usage versatility. The tubes have a shrinking threshold of approximately +180°C, offering transparency and straightforward application. These heat shrink tubes are built to withstand continuous temperatures up to +205°C, align with safety standards for food and beverage applications, and exhibit increased efficiency in comparison to PTFE variants. The NSF certification affirms its compliance for contact with food, further establishing their implementation in the semiconductor and other high-purity industries. The Teflon™ Diamond quality seal corroborates the high manufacturing standards maintained by APT.
