With more than 200 successful projects on over 100 facilities, we have the experience required for your municipal and industrial water and wastewater treatment project. AQUA is a leader in the design of membrane bioreactor (MBR) treatment facilities, integrated fixed film and activated sludge (IFAS) processes, and the use of membranes for water treatment. Our designs have won awards and at the same time, stayed within the owner’s budgets for construction and operations. We will assist you in obtaining funding for your projects through federal and state grant and loan programs as well as public bonding.

Our water resource experience includes alluvial and bedrock wells up to 1500 feet deep with cased diameters up to 16 inches. We have developed springs with flows in excess of 2000 gallons per minute. AQUA’s transmission pipeline experience incorporates welded steel, ductile iron, PVC, and HDPE pipe up to 24 inches in diameter. Our pumping systems include capacities up to 6000 gallons per minute and working pressures up to 500 pounds per square inch. We have designed metal, conventionally reinforced concrete, and prestressed concrete tanks. Our storage projects include potable water tanks up to 2 million gallons and open reservoirs up to 150 acre-feet.

For AQUA, working in the environmental field means action with a focus on designing projects that are self-sustaining and environmentally enhancing. Our list of projects is extensive, including the design of waste to energy projects that produce methane gas from municipal bio-solids, animal wastes, and food processing wastes to generate both heat and power. We permitted Utah’s largest landfill north of the Great Salt Lake and designed several composting processes including one using municipal solid waste with wastewater bio-solids.

We provide construction management and inspection services on nearly all of our engineering projects. In some cases we team with the client’s staff to reduce costs. This has an added advantage of making the client’s staff intimately familiar with the project improvements. Regular progress meetings are held to keep the client apprised of progress as well as maintain efficient communications between all parties.
