Principles of operation: Compressed air is blown through a system of perforated pipes located at the bottom of the lake. This leads to the formation of a rising plume of air bubbles which entrains the water upwards.   Reoxygenation is achieved, first through direct diffusion from the air bubbles, and then through the eddies at the surface.

The LIMNO®aerates the deep, cold, oxygen-poor layers of the water body. It does not upset its thermal stability and thus avoids the mixing of the deeper layers with the warmer surface layers.

A simple filtration process (0.01pm) provides a hermetic barrier against suspended solids, algae, bacteria and viruses while retaining mineral salts. Ultrafiltration is used for one-stage production of treated water performing clarification and disinfection in a single process.

The Kiosk I is an ultra-filtration unit completely pre equipped in a standard 20` container. The Kiosk I is fully autonomous thanks to its power generator compartment. It is arranged internally for an easy use by the local population and are equipped for several external taps. The Kiosk is compact, container-size, easy to be transported by truck. It is ready for immediate connection to the existing local networks or boreholes.

The Kiosk from Aqua Technique produces up to 1 500 m3/day of ultrafil-tered water per day from a network, groundwater or surface water supply source. The Kiosk delivers perfectly clear water with a turbidity of less than 0.1 NFU and 5 log removal of germs.
