Legionella Control and Risk Assessment Services

The following Statutory Regulations require identification and assessment of the risk to health from legionella bacteria: Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 1999, Regulation 6 Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, Regulation 3 Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 sections 2, 3 and 4.The above Regulations apply to the control of legionella bacteria in any undertaking involving a work activity and to premises controlled in connection with a trade, business or other undertaking where water is used or stored and where there is a means of creating and transmitting water droplets which may be inhaled, (Extract ACOP H.S.E. Legionnaires` Disease L8).
