Aquobex products
Aquobex - Barrier
The K70 barrier is a metal temporary barrier for use in floods up to 2600mm high. The barrier is easily deployed by two men and deployment is rapid. The new design will allow a modified K50 barrier to be deployed and extended to the height of a K70 barrier in the field when required. This ability means savings for the operator as the same barrier can be effectively used for low level and high level flooding.
Submersible Site Drainages
Puddle sucker pump at 170 litres per minute. Pumps down to 2mm of flood water. Used for water that seeps into home through wall joints or overtops flood barriers. Normally used as a portable “back-up” pump that sits on the floor. Can be automated to turn on and off using the H2O switch.
High Flow Site Drainage Submersible Pump
High capacity pump at 830 litres per minute. Continuous operation. Needs to be installed in a sump.
Aquobex - Energy-passive Groundwater Recharge Pump
The EGRP manages surface and underground water in an innovative and sustainable way, allowing planners to manage rainfall at source. Installed underground, the system is activated by hydrostatic pressure; as the ground contracts and expands in response to water volumes, the pressure powers the pump, rebalancing groundwater effectively and efficiently. It is suitable for all soil types.
Mobile Flood Product
Rapidam Tube - Mobile Flood Barriers
Rapidam Tube is a temporary and recyclable flood defence that can protect a group of properties from flood risk. Easy to use, with an anti-rolling patented design and ergonomically designed handles, the dam is manufactured from high tensile PVC-coated polyester. Classified as water filled tube according to DEFRA classification of temporary flood barriers.
Aquobex - Ready Aquawell
Aquobex first came across Aquacast when we met its inventor (Zak), from the Isle of Man at a trade show in London. Following many interesting conversations we discovered the product had many uses for flood protection as well as embankment strengthening but our key interest was how it could be used as a “foundationless flood wall”
Rapidam Rigid - Mobile Flood Barriers
Rapidam Rigid is completely removable barrier for use in floods up to 1100mm high. The barrier is easily deployed by two men and deployment is rapid. Classified as a rigid frame barrier according to Environment Agency (UK) classification of temporary flood barriers.
Rapidam Flexi - Mobile Flood Barriers
Rapidam Flexi as a portable flood barrier is the ultimate emergency product where time is of the essence and limited manpower is a challenge. Its single-component, flexible membrane construction uses the flood water itself to provide friction and seal pressure with the ground. It is the ideal solution for the protection of critical infrastructure such as railways and highways. Classified as a free- standing barrier with flexible membrane according to DEFRA classification of temporary flood barriers.
Aquafragma - Passive Flood Barriers
Aquafragma is a portable automatic flood barrier with robust, durable modules that are quickly and easily assembled producing a hump-like foundation across the road. The flood barrier modules are positioned horizontally whilst deadweight modules secure them in place also providing smooth slopes up and down the hump. Traffic can safely pass over the hump until flood level is about to exceed the hump crest. The gate turns upright automatically just in time prior to flooding and returns back to horizontal again automatically when flood waters recede. The barrier operation, turning up and down, requires no power and no labour. It turns up due to buoyancy action and returns down due to gravity. The modular construction enables the blocking of openings of any width.
