AristaTek - PEAC-WMD Software Training
The PEAC software come with complete documentation provided via a User`s Guide. (Separate guides for the Windows and the Pocket PC versions.) These guides are prepared to include step-by-step instructions on how each feature is to be used, the circumstances under which a feature can provide information, examples of use that include annotated screen shots that identify how information is displayed and incident reporting, input parameters to be entered, and how results are provided. The User’s Guide is provided as a pdf file.
AristaTek - PowerPoint Tutorial PEAC-WMD Training
A separate extensive tutorial for each version is also provided. The PowerPoint presentation is provided as a pdf file and covers all features found in the PEAC software. The slide show is comprised of annotated screen shots of the application providing step by step instructions. The tutorial is divided into separate sections that provide the training officer and all users with the proper and necessary tools as to how to properly and quickly access information and calculations from the application.
AristaTek - Video Vignettes Training
Also provided for each version are a suite of short videos that demonstrate the features and capabilities of the PEAC application. These videos run from 2-12 minutes in length and demonstrate a specific topic or feature, showing how information is accessed or computational tools are used.
AristaTek - On-Site User Training
On-site, instructor-led, user training courses are available. This course usually runs between 3-6 hours and teaches the four main capabilities of the PEAC software – technical reference, facility integration, hazard modeling and ICS/NIMS incident management.
AristaTek - On Site Train-the-Trainer Training
A two day, on-site, instructor-led, train-the-trainer course is available. This course prepares hazmat training professionals to deliver the PEAC software training suite. This course covers capabilities of the PEAC software. This course teaches training protocols and techniques to allow emergency responders to use PEAC software and its capabilities. It also includes scenarios that allow users to enter and access chemical data, plot toxic plumes and learn to use the calculators to determine proper emergency response actions.
AristaTek - Individual Interactive Web-Based Proficiency PEAC-WMD Training
Training does not end at the completion of a training class or at the final page of a user manual or tutorial. To achieve a constant state of readiness, training must be continuous and personalized. As an adjunct to the other training processes described, a multi-media, interactive. web-based courseware module is available for each user. This module will assure proficiency and isolate any gaps in previous training.
