PowerPAC - High-Quality Powdered Activated Carbon (PAC)

This high-quality powdered activated carbon (PAC) is our standard product for mercury capture in halogen-containing flue gas. Various properties including pore structure, particle size and shape, moisture and mineral content, have been optimized for mercury capture and sequestration. Use this product when you are firing high chlorine containing coals, or in conjunction with coal or flue gas additives for the oxidation of mercury. PowerPAC can be used routinely, or intermittently when managing coals from various sources. PowerPAC Premium - Halogenated Powdered Activated Carbon (PAC)

This halogenated powdered activated carbon (PAC) begins with our PowerPAC technology and adds a halogen to promote mercury oxidation. It is specifically designed for flue gas mercury capture in low-halogen applications such as powder river basin coals, lignite coals, and biomass. This product provides a holistic approach to mercury capture addressing all three critical parameters to achieving effective mercury removal. PowerPAC Premium Plus - Flue Gas Mercury Control Activated Carbon

This product has been optimized for flue gas mercury capture. It incorporates advanced halogen treatment to improve the oxidation of mercury. Its use is recommended in certain challenging applications including low-halogen flue gases when conventional halogenated Powdered Activated Carbons are inadequate.

FastPAC - Powdered Activated Carbons

FastPAC™ is a patent-pending, next-generation powdered activated carbon that is designed to rapidly and efficiently remove mercury from the flue gas of power plants and other coal-fired facilities, particularly in systems that have pre-oxidized mercury. This non- brominated carbon is produced from coal and lignite feedstock’s that have shown to produce the most effective activated carbons in full-scale testing at power plants. It has been designed to enhance the kinetics of the capture of mercury in flue gas of units burning all fuels and high halogen content with ESP particulate removal. In full-scale sorbent injection tests, FastPAC™ has demonstrated reliable mercury capture in a wide range of coal-fired units and has proven especially effective in facilities with cold-side electrostatic precipitator (ESP) configurations, with both low-rank and higher-sulfur coals.
