With open-air pools the solar energy supply coincides particularly favourably with the utilisation period, since the swimming pool can be used simultaneously as a heat reservoir. Thereby special AST solar mats made from interconnected tubes are installed on a suitable area of the roof and connected to collector tubes. The water is taken from the swimming pool and pumped through the mats using a circulation pump. The sun heats the circulating water cost-effectively and environmentally friendly.

Breweries, dairies, industrial laundries, leather and paper production are among those branches of industry that have a very high demand for warm water for the production. The costs for the energy expenditure fall noticeably on the overall production costs. The AST Solar-Systems offer an enormous saving potential for such companies. With these systems large volumes of water can be preheated by means of solar energy, the difference to the required target temperature is compensated with conventional heating systems.

Solar absorber systems are also perfectly suitable for heating private pools. Environmentally friendly and cost-effective, they also ensure for undiminished bathing fun on cooler days in spring or late summer. They can be dimensioned smaller and the solar yield is sufficient for the warm water requirement of smaller pools.
