Astoria-Pacific - Spotcheck System
Astoria-Pacific’s SPOTCHECK Analyzer automates newborn-screening tests for such diseases as: Phenylalanine, Tyrosine, Total Galactose and G6PD. Many of the tests, such as Biotinidase and Uridyltransferase, can be assayed from a single extracted blood spot. Using proven technology, marketed worldwide since 1989, samples can be quantitatively assayed and the results reported within the same day. No overnight incubation is required. The XYZ-format autosampler holds 4 microtiter trays, processing samples at an average rate of 90 per hour.
Astoria-Pacific - Automated Wet - Chemistry Analyzers
This is the flag ship model of Astoria-Pacific’s segmented flow analyzer line. The system’s versatile 307 digital detector is ideal for laboratories (i.e. Oceanography, Tobacco, etc.) that want to test one to six parameters from a single sample. It can be configured with photometric and/or fluorometric detectors. Using micro-Segmented Flow Analysis, the Astoria Analyzer has a modular design: 411 XYZ Sampler, 302D Micropump (peristaltic pump), 303A Cartridge Base with room for up to six chemistries*, and 307 Digital Detector. (See Additional Modules for more information about these units.)
Astoria2 - Automated Wet Chemistry Analyzers
The Astoria2 Analyzer is tough, compact and extremely reliable. The two (2) channel Astoria2 main chassis includes a micropump, cartridge base and two photometers.
Astoria-Pacific - Fully Automated System
The advantages of this system are numerous: Multiple analyses can be run with no physical changes to the system. The operator can select what analyses he/she would like to run on each sample. Reagent consumption is even lower than our Astoria and Astoria2 systems, generally ~ 5 – 60 uL. In-line dilution of above-range samples and in-line standards prep from a single stock standard are included. Periodic maintenance is reduced because of the elimination of pump tubes, transmission tubing, dialysis membranes, etc. The software is more intuitive and provides complete control of the system’s components. Affordable! For small, medium or large-scale labs!

Spotcheck
Galactose - Total Galactose System
Astoria-Pacific’s SPOTCHECK Total Galactose test is used to help screen for Galactosemia. When galactose is ingested by an affected newborn, the galactose-1 phosphate accumulates intracellularly causing blood and urine galactose levels to become elevated. Serum galactose measurements can be used to diagnose and treat Galactosemia.
Spotcheck - Fully Automated System
SPOTCHECK Pro is a fully automated system, controlled by Tecan’s Freedom EVOware® Plus software, which uses standard microplates, barcoded to ensure sample identification. The system includes a Te-VacS™ vacuum separation module, liquid handling (LiHa) and robotic manipulator (RoMa) arms, two shaker/ incubators, hotels and a Sunrise™ microplate absorbance reader, offering complete walkaway automation, with a manual backup possible.

Astoria Pacific - XYZ Sampler
The 411S is a versatile random access sampler for labs that do not monitor high volumes of samples.
Astoria Pacific - XYZ High-Capacity Sampler
The 411L is for labs with higher volumes of samples. Many of its features include: A separate standards/calibrant rack that reduces time spent on pouring standards. A traveling wash station to reduce travel time between WASH and Sample, thereby reducing wear and tear on the components. Integrated WASH and WASTE Pumps. Up to three sample-rack positions with up to 270 sample positions. Compatibility with an optional diluter (412 Dilutus below), which can automatically dilute off-scale samples and allow the user to create standards/calibrants online.
