The WPC-1050 is a general purpose ultra-low background counting system, which is widely used for both health physics and radiochemistry applications. The WPC-1050 is an improved design of the previous WPC-9550 that incorporates the same dependable mechanical platform with improvements.

The Model 702e Isotope Identifier with an external NaI detector provides end users like first responders a simple tool to quickly locate any abnormal levels of radioactivity and accurately identify the isotopes present. It additionally offers several advanced features for well-trained experts seeking to perform more detailed analysis either in the field or in a laboratory. Connection to a PC is available via a built-in Ethernet connection where stored or real-time collected data can be processed by optional isotopic analysis programs, such as the Quantum software (available upon request).

The hoods have a horizontal filter that prevents air flow tunneling, more charcoal (1.5" to 3" thick, TEDA-nuclear grade, 8 X 16 mesh), a higher air flow of 148 cfm fan free air, an auto-shut off timer, a baffle that directs airflow to the rear of the hood and a hinged face plate for extra flow protection. All of this is provided in units that cost less and require less space than similar hoods.
