PHRED is a compact unit placed between the HPLC column and the detector to perform on-line post-column continuous photolytic derivatization to increase the sensitivity and/or selectivity of response of fluorescence, ultraviolet, electrochemical, and chemiluminescence detectors.

Aura`s Knitted Reaction Coils are intended for use with chemical and photochemical post-column derivatizations, and in flow injection analysis (FIA). They are fabricated from 1/16" OD Teflon tubing to minimize band spreading. The coils can be heated and thermostated with Aura`s line of Column Jackets.

Aura Industries Inc. introduces a series of column jackets for the effective and economical temperature control of HPLC columns ranging from the analytical through preparative and process sizes. Temperature control from -30°C to 90°C provides improved reproducibility. Use of above ambient temperatures reduces back pressure, improves resolution and increases throughput. For reverse phase chromatography, increased temperature allows a decrease of expensive organic solvents in eluent.

Compact Gas Manifold for Helium Sparging of 3 or 4 HPLC solvents simultaneously. The gas manifold features: Three or four needle valves for individual and fine control of Helium flow to each of three or four reservoirs. Three way solenoid controlled shut off valve. The needle valves need not be used as shut off valves and the manifold is vented when the Helium flow is shut off. Fittings for 1/8" metal or plastic tubing.

SAVES TIME and MONEY - Eliminates spurious peaks caused by outgassing in detectors; eliminates pump down time caused by air locks and particulates in check valves; decreases piston wear and increases column life; eliminates baseline drift due to oxygen concentration changes.

Aura`s 47 mm Teflon Filter Membranes are made of pure of PTFE and therefore have no extractables. The substantial thickness of the membranes (250 micron) allows the fabrication of the membranes without requiring backing material, make them easy to handle and allow them to be reused numerous times. They are chemically inert and can be used interchangeably for organic and aqueous solvents. Due to the membrane strength, if necessary, liquids can be filtered using pressures exceeding the membranes water initiation pressure or with the aid of wetting agents such as methanol. The functional pore size is 1.5 +/- 0.5 microns. Among many other application of these membranes is  the filtration and degassing of HPLC solvents in conjunction with Aura`s filter degasser.

Aura Industries, Inc. has Knitted Delay Tubes (KDTs) to aid in the mass spec. or UV directed fractionation of HPLC fractions, in flow injection analysis etc. The knitting minimizes peak broadening while keeping the tubing in a compact size. Each KDT comes with two flangeless ferrules and nuts for connecting to 1/4-28 fittings. An optional connector with female 1/4-28 and female 10-32 threads with a 1 mm thru-hole is available (Cat# 1583). This connector allows connection of the 1/4-28 fittings to the standard 1/16 inch HPLC tubing. Additional KDT sizes are available upon request.

EPOCODTM is a compact and economical unit placed between an HPLC column and detector, designed to facilitate post column chemical derivatization.  The kit includes a PTFE knitted reactor coil, a column jacket for temperature control and a “T” connector for convenient mixing of the analyte with post column chemical derivatization agents.

Peristaltic pumps are an economical yet accurate alternative to a second HPLC pump when adding a post-column chemical derivatization agent(s).  Exceptional accuracy, combined with a digital display and intuitive user interface, ensure that these small pumps are precise and simple to use.
