Aurora Environmental, Inc. (AEI) has been providing underground storage tank closure services in accordance with state and federal regulations for the past ten years, and have closed several hundred tanks. Tank closure typically includes the removal of remaining product, cleaning of the tank system, sampling of the soil and/or groundwater around the tank, completion of a written closure report, and assistance with obtaining financial assistance.

AEI provides cost effective  industrial hygiene  and safety services to clients in the manufacturing, commercial, and hazardous waste industries. We help clients comply with OSHA regulations through preparation and review of required written programs and plans and training of employees in safe work practices and procedures.  Our professionals assess potential chemical, biological, noise and ergonomic hazards in the workplace and provide cost effective exposure reduction solutions.  Through compliance audits and inspections AEI can identify potential hazards to reduce injuries and lower workman`s compensation rates.

AEI excels in the development and acquisition of flexible operating permits. Our experience ranges from wetlands delineation/permitting to beneficial use residual waste permits to TSD permits. We have assisted clients and have obtained permits for air, waste and water discharge. Our staff is familiar with risk assessment and associated models and can bring this experience when you look for wetland assistance, greenfield development, and/or potential offsite impacts. In addition, we have the experience to conduct biological surveys and design habitat restoration.

Pennsylvania as well as other states have established uniform clean-up standards (Act 2) that will enable business and industry to clearly identify environmental liabilities. In many states such as Pennsylvania, a release from liability can be obtained from the state when conforming to the Act 2 requirements.

AEI has been instrumental in assisting industrial clients with their water and wastewater issues. Engagements completed include projects from stormwater sampling to NPDES permitting to design and installation of surface and ground water treatment facilities. Our ability to cost effectively evaluate existing systems and negotiate flexible operating permit conditions has been the reason for AEI s success.
