Microcosm tests - Feasibility studies soil remediation

Avecom is pleased to offer you our expertise in selecting, implementing and follow up of the most suitable soil remediation technique via lab scale screening of different remediation techniques. In case of biological remediation, we suggest the performance of Microcosm tests. These are a useful tool since different conditions (natural attenuation, biostimulation and bioaugmentation) can be tested simultaneously, and as such, the best solution can be selected. Avecom also offers the screening of the potential of chemical oxidantia (ISCO) and chemical reductantia (ISCR). Avecom has more than 25 years of experience in selecting the right biological degradation strategy for different soil pollutants from industry and agriculture. Contaminants suitable for biodegradation include Mineral oil, BTEX, Styrene, Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAH) like naphthalene and biphenyl, Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC), Methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE), Cyanide,...

Avecom - Water - Feasibility studies and lab testing

Our dedicated team is pleased to offer you its expertise in the selecting, testing and optimizing of the most appropriate treatment or valorization technology for waste waters and organic waste streams, based on a strong scientific know how and thorough field experience.

Molecular Monitoring - Molecular Monitoring Services (qPCR, QuantArray, in Situ Microcosms, SIP,...)

Molecular monitoring of microbial communities allows you to Identify and quantify specific bacteria in the community. Monitor the microbial community over time. Comparison of microbial communities from different sites, conditions. In 2016, Avecom and Microbial Insights have started Microbial Insights Europe, a collaboration to better serve the European clients for molecular analyses. Microbial insights offers a full spectrum of molecular biological tools including qPCR, QuantArray®, In Situ Microcosms (ISMs) and Stable Isotope Probing (SIP) in their new local laboratory in Belgium.

Avecom - Monitoring of microbiologically influenced corrosion (MIC)

Microbiologically influenced corrosion (MIC), the deterioration of materials by micro-organisms or their activities, impacts nearly all industries and is responsible for an estimated 40% of internal corrosion.
