We have decades of experience in providing cleaning, disinfection and waste management services to all type of facilities, including hospitals.

The Averda team is trained to handle all kinds of waste – and we’ve got a range of specialised containers, technologies and chemicals designed for the toughest industrial waste collection and cleaning challenges. This includes liquids, solids, hazardous and non-hazardous materials. We also have decades of heavy equipment experience, which means we can handle and transport huge quantities - including oil & gas industrial waste using customised off-shore containers.

One of our great strengths is our ongoing investment in new technologies – which stems from the fact that Averda originated as an engineering technology company. That passion has enabled us to create a technically advanced pipe inspection and cleaning service. Deploying a range of tools – including CCTV, laser and even sonar technologies – we are able to provide an inspection range from 100mm to 3000mm. And there are few places we can’t or won’t go.

The way that toxic and hazardous waste is handled depends upon national, regional or international regulations. Typically, we’ll kick off with a consultation exercise to ascertain what we’re faced with. After that, we offer technical advice on whether we’re handling hazardous waste that can be treated (so that it is no longer hazardous), how it should be transported and finally where it should be stored or disposed of. We also have our own state-of-the-art Class 1 facilities where we can turn dangerous substances in to stable, manageable, immobilised or neutralised matter.

Waste generated from the healthcare industry is strictly regulated and requires careful handling and special disposal. Averda has years of experience in the management and safe disposal of all forms of healthcare waste. The gold standard method of safe disposal of medical waste is through thermal treatments where the materials are exposed to extremely high temperatures. In some instances, this leads to the complete incineration of the materials. However alternative thermal treatment facilities leave the waste sterilised and much reduced in volume meaning it can be safely disposed of in a regular landfill.
