Water Treatment Equipment
Hevasure Closed System Monitoring
Our UK designed and built Hevasure Closed System Chemistry Monitoring solution is award-winning and provides an intelligent compliance and system management support tool for site engineers and duty holders. Used across large sites, universities, commercial offices, data centres, chilled warehouse distribution sites, hospitals and other applications, it can be retro-fitted, hired for 3-months as a health check or installed permanently.
Genox - Chlorine Dioxide for Small and Large Hot & Cold Water Systems
Highly effective non-chemical solution for less than 20m3 and upwards of 500m3 which is NHS approved and replaces old chlorine dioxide exchange units with smart, low operating cost, reliable, safe, clean potable water.
Proprietary Water Treatment Chemical
Ultralox40® is a proprietary water treatment chemical developed here in our technical centre in Daventry. It is highly efficacious against bacteria and other water-borne pathogens and is used in a wide range of water systems quickly eradicating Legionella, Pseudomonas, E. coli and Coliform. Ultralox40® is a highly effective disinfection or secondary disinfection solution which can be used for shock dosing and/or maintenance.
Legionella Diagnosis - Instant Legionella Testing
For spot-checks to support your Legionella control programme. Legionnaires test – results in 25 minutes: Signs of Legionnaires and reliable Legionella diagnosis can now be established in the field by yourself on your own site in real time without waiting 10+ days for UKAS lab culturing and results. B & V Chemicals have teamed up with Hydrosense to offer a range of instant self-test tools enabling faster, more frequent spot-testing as part of your wider Legionella control and risk management strategy.
Chlorine Dioxide (ClO2) Generators
Chlorine dioxide production has just got a whole deal easier and safer. Chlorine Dioxide (ClO2) is an effective, low concentration water disinfectant offering a high residual quality that helps to eradicate biofilm and support robust Legionella control in water distribution systems. These new generation ClO2IX production systems are proven in solving all of the problems and perceived limitations of conventional ClO2 generation and come in a range of models to provide 5KG to 90+KG/day of ClO2.
Chemical Treatments
Antifoam & Defoamer for Chemical Treatments
Antifoams and defoamers do exactly what the name suggests – i.e they reduce or eliminate foam. If left, the foam is not only unsightly but also leads to lower process efficiencies. Foam can be generated in many systems including, boilers, cooling towers and effluent treatment plants. It often arises from the use of surface active chemicals in the water system which stabilise bubbles within the water leading to the formation of foam. The antifoam agents displace these surface active chemicals which leads to the bubbles breaking and hence the reduction of the foam. Antifoam agents are typically either silicone or hydrocarbon based. We can supply products based on either. The optimum product choice will be determined by the application.
Biocidal Products for Water Treatment
What Is A Biocide? A biocide is a chemical treatment that is formulated to effectively control microbial growth. Problems caused by un-controlled microbial growth can range from health hazards, the breakdown of chemicals, the development of biofilms , heat transfer losses, restriction of flow and under deposit corrosion. It is therefore critical that the correct biocidal treatment regime is implemented and regular checks are carried out to ensure that microbial population in a wide range of systems including drinking water, down water services, process waters, closed circuits, recreational waters and open cooling systems are kept under control. The control of microbial growth is generally achieved by ensuring systems are cleaned on start up and regularly as required, preventing contamination of systems and dosing with a biocide either on a continuous basis or via a programme of shock dosing.
