Gate Valves

Babcock - Model 22 - Wedge Gate Valves

Wedge gate valves are commonly supplied with solid wedge up to 2” size and with flexible wedge for larger sizes. The latter design consists of two independent and flexible wedge halves, that allow a relative movement to accommodate changes in the body seat angles.

Babcock - Model 82 - Double Disc Gate Valves

The so called double disc valve incorporates a double disc, double wedge and double seat system, which makes this design unique, being designed to assure a reliable operation under the most severe service conditions.

Globe Valves

Babcock - Model 72 - Y-Globe Valve

Among the diferent functions of this type of valve, most relevant aplication is as feed water stop valve, used to protect the water piping between the economizer and the feed water heaters during the hydrostatic boiler test. These valves are also applicable wherever large volumes of fluid have to be handled at high pressure and/or high temperatures, handling steam and water at aceptable velocities and pressure drops. Check Valves

Babcock - Model 42 & 45 - Swing Check Valves

Babcock swing check valve has a robust and reliable design to withstand severe shocks during service and provide a low head loss. The disc design prevents disc rotation normally induced by the flow, and it is securely fastened to the hinge. A precise machining will avoid jamming at the seating areas.

Babcock - Model 02 & 5 - Tilting Disc Check Valves

Design for high flow speed getting a quick and control closing. Our especially designed shape of the disc and seat guarantee that the disc will be in contact with the seat before the reverse flow velocity has reached its maximum value. The conical design of both sealing parts helps absorbing the disc impacts better than with straight type discs, as frequently occurs with other designs of check valves.

Babcock - Piston Check Valves

With the flow under the disc, the inlet line pressure forces the disc to move within the body bore, allowing the fluid flow through the valve. In case of quick reverse flow, the disc will automatically return to close position. Our piston check valves are available in straight body design, “Y” pattern and “Y” angle pattern, with or without disc spring.

Stop-Check Valves

This kind of valve is normally used in power plants for safe operation of a boiler. It combines the performances of a globe and a non return valve and can be supplied in straight, Y-type, angle or Y-angle designs.

Butterfly Valves
