BioMag Plus - Protein Coupling Kit
BioMag® and BioMag®Plus superparamagnetic microparticles are utilized in the magnetic separation of cells, organelles, proteins, immunoglobulins, nucleic acids, and many other types of molecules in biological and nonbiological systems. The irregular shape of BioMag® and BioMag®Plus particles affords a much greater surface area than that of the same size spherical particles. This large surface area results in high binding capacities, allowing efficient target capture with minimal amounts of particles. Additionally, their greater than 90% iron oxide content allows for faster magnetic separations, especially on automated high throughput platforms.

BioMag® and BioMag®Plus superparamagnetic microparticles are utilized in the magnetic separation of cells, organelles, proteins, immunoglobulins, nucleic acids, and many other types of molecules in biological and nonbiological systems. The irregular shape of BioMag® and BioMag®Plus affords a much greater surface area than that of the same size spherical particles. This large surface area results in high binding capacities, allowing efficient target capture with conservative use of particles. Additionally, their greater than 90% iron oxide content allows for faster magnetic separations, particularly on automated high throughput platforms.
Bangs Laboratories - Coupling Procedure for Attaching Oligonucleotides to BioMag Carboxyl
BioMag® Carboxyl consists of an aqueous suspension of magnetic iron oxide particles coated to provide carboxyl groups. The carboxyl groups are sterically unencumbered, permitting the covalent attachment of oligonucleotides with retention of biological activity for molecular biology applications. There are about 4.8μmoles of carboxyl per mL (240 μmoles per gram).
