Water and combustible gases are enemies of any liquid-filled transformer.  When the liquid insulation is wet, it is important to address the fact that 99% of the water in the transformer is in the solid insulation.  Baron AUTOS systems are designed to dry and degasify while the transformer remains online.  Through the time-proven and superior technology of vacuum processing the AUTOS treats electrical insulating liquids to remove particulate, moisture, and dissolved gases.  This complete treatment solution for the liquid has the further effect of suppressing water content levels low enough to improve the moisture levels in the solid insulation system.

Baron USA BA-CBL Series purifiers are designed to process electrical insulating oil (KM-22 or similar) for the removal of particulate, moisture, and dissolved gases.

Water is an enemy to the dielectric properties of solid and liquid insulation in electrical devices.  Therefore, it needs to be removed during the manufacturing process and then sometimes in the field as part of maintenance. In high vacuum drying processes, water must be frozen out of the vacuum stream to capture it. Baron BA-LN and BA-DS cold traps collect, by freezing, the water removed during the vacuum drying of high voltage equipment.

Baron USA BA-COP Series purifiers are complete systems for the purification of oils used in refrigeration compressors for freezers, refrigerators, air conditioners, heat pumps, industrial cooling applications etc. Mineral-based, alkylbenzene and polyolester (POE) refrigeration lubricants used in modern reciprocating, scroll, screw and many centrifugal compressors require a low dissolved water content to assure high performance at the low operating temperatures of the devices they are lubricating. Polyolester oil (POE) and other polar / hygroscopic oils require special treatment and post-treatment storage due to their high affinity to absorb humidity from the air.

Baron USA provides three styles of portable dry air systems for field transformer servicing to eliminate the need to carry bottled nitrogen or dry air for vacuum break, dewpoint testing, and purging: DAS: Dry Air Systems: come in a few cfm ratings with both -40 °C and -70 °C capability.  These systems are perfect for providing dry air for breaking vacuum on a transformer after drying and for dew point testing. PAS: Purge Air Systems: Utilize screw compressor with food grade oil and add a CO monitor so that the system can also be used as dry purge air for a work area. BAS: Breathable Air Systems: adds a CO scrubber in addition to the monitoring and utilize oil-free scroll compressors for OSHA CFR1910.134, CSA Z180.1-13, CGA G-7, ANSI Z88.2-1080 compliance.
