Bioreactors and Fermenters need to be sterilized absolute secure and reliable for working on high sensitivity levels. They have to comply to recent GMP-guidelines and FDA-standards. The challenge for successful sterile tests is to supply steam and/or cleaning detergents to all parts in media contact for 100 % of their surfaces and over the required time. The xCUBIO in-situ performs these CIP- (Cleaning in Place) and SIP- (Sterilization in Place) processes fully automatic, reliably safe and reproducible.

The xCUBIO multi controls up to 12 bioreactors and fermentors at the same time! Operation and detection of the process values are concentrated on the central 19” touchscreen control terminal. Controllers, media pumps and amplifiers of xCUBIO multi are installed in separate twin supply towers next to the cultivation vessels, remotely controlled via Ethernet interfaces.

bioPROBE - Automatic Sampling Single Bioreactor

bioPROBE single is the entry-level version of automatic and sterile sampling from bioreactors and fermenters. It does not require much space in table-top installation and is easy to integrate into existing laboratory installations.

The perfect split of all transfer hoses of the bioPROBE quad allows simultaneous automatic sampling from up to four bioreactors in parallel operation – all around the clock. This protects from fallible manual diligence work during bioreactor and fermenter operations, which often occurs when tiny sampling intervals are crucial.

multiSAM is as flexible as the possibilities in modern biotechnology. multiSAM can be used for sampling from one bioreactor with bioPROBE single and for parallel sampling with bioPROBE quad. With the help of Addons und Extension Packs multiSAM can be extended in its functionalities and customized to every application.

bbi - Model orbitSAM - Autosampler

In case of a high sample count during e.g. biotechnological kinetic experiments, the orbitSAM allows to store up to 36 samples one after another – automatically sorted and separated. The integrated autosampler autonomously heads for free positions and can optionally be flushed with an extra flushing agent between each storage process. The orbitSAM has extended sampling variety and can hence hold a central buffer or switching position within a closed Atline-Complex.

The break of biological processes in an automatic sample can have crucial positive influence on the subsequent analytical result. Hence, coolSAM takes over the responsibility of sample handling when connected to our bioPROBE. The coolSAM consists of a positioning system for controlled sample transfer and of a smart block dock for Eppendorf ThermoStat C-blocks. Depending on the equipment this allows the automated sampling in up to eight positions, the cooled storage and the concentrated analysis later on – without serious changes in the sample. Even heating processes are possible, which may be used for deactivating living cells or to trigger desired thermic induced processes.
