Training Programs
BD - PCQI Certification Training
Preventive Controls for Human Food called PCQI (Preventive Controls Qualified Individual) training is highly valued in work environments associated with food or food production. The PCQI certification indicates your recognition as a Preventive Controls Qualified Individual to conduct or oversee certain activities specified in Preventive Controls for Human Food rule (21 CFR 117). Curriculum for that course was designed by the FSPCA and is recognized by the FDA as adequate to meet the requirements of PC rule. BD Food Safety Consultants LLC offers FSPCA PCQI training in Chicago and Atlanta to keep you in compliance.
BD - HACCP Certification Training
HACCP (Hazard Analysis of Critical Control Points) is a management system in which food safety is addressed through the analysis and control of biological, chemical and physical hazards. HACCP training educates participants about this systematic approach to hazards that can compromise food safety and teaches them how to reduce these risks to a safe level. Establishing an HACCP system is critical to your compliance with national and international legislation.
BD - FSVP Certificatio Training
Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP) requirements are part of FSMA (Food Safety Modernization Act), which was established in 2011. The final rule given in the FSMA FSVP Rule (21 CFR 1, 11 & 111) requires that importers perform certain risk-based activities to verify that food imported into the United States has been produced in a manner that meets applicable U.S. safety standards.
BD - Intentional Adulteration Vulnerability Assessment Course (IAVA)
Mitigation Strategies to Protect Food Against Intentional Adulteration Rule (21 CFR 121) is the newest part of Food Safety Modernization Act. The rule requires businesses that hold, pack, process or manufacture food to conduct vulnerability assessment to identify significant vulnerabilities. Significant vulnerabilities become actionable process steps for which the business must identify mitigation strategies along with management components. All these activities must be conducted by Food Defense Qualified Individual / Individuals. In order to become Qualified Individual a person must complete training according to standardized curriculum recognized by FDA or qualify through job experience. Intentional Adulteration Vulnerability Assessment Course by FSPCA is one way to become qualified individual.
BD - Internal Auditor Certification Training Course
An internal audit is crucial in assuring your food safety and quality management system is working properly. Global Food Safety Initiative-recognized certification schemes such as SQF, BRC, IFS or FSSC 22000 require that internal audits are conducted at a minimum annually. An ineffective internal audit may have severe consequences for your business. Therefore, it is important that employees are adequately trained in how to properly audit your systems. GFSI certification may not be the only reason why your organization should conduct an internal audit. Regulations such as FSMA may also trigger internal audits as part of the verification activities.
