Explosion protection is regulated by law. According to the law all companies where explosive atmospheres may occur have to provide explosion protection documents. This is concerning most of the wood processing companies especially wood pellet production plants, due to the large dust amounts on site.

We are developing processes and plants. Therefore we use the Know-how of our scientific partners from universities and research institutes. Together with our experience and flexibility we are able to realize industrial processes fast. With our solutions we offer customer-oriented production concepts, which are characterized by high efficiency, flexibility and scalability from the laboratory scale to industrial production.

Many accredited testing labs are required to participate at least twice a year in an international comparison test. Therefore we offer for the first time in 2016 besides the comparison tests in the field of fuel testing for solid biofuels and solid SRF (ICT-FT) a laboratory comparison test exclusively for wood pellets. This laboratory comparison test is also especially suitable for ENplus approved and listed testing labs. Determination of Chlorine content, Sulphur content and heavy metals are not offered on purpose, as these values usually are below the detection limit of the participating labs. A statistical evaluation is therefore not possible. For these test methods the participation within the ICT-FT is recommended.

Sampling of bulk goods - even if done professional in accordance to the appropriate regulations –  is a challenging task. Though practice and experience often don’t ensure representativeness of the taken samples. Within this proficiency test “sampling of wood pellets according EN 14778” each participant is able to prove his own performance and accuracy. The statistical evaluation of the sampling will be done on basis of fine content and particle size distribution in accordance to ISO/IEC 17043 (mean value, standard deviation, outlier according to Grubbs, outlier according to Cochran, z-score) as well as repeatability and reproducibility. This ICT-S laboratory comparison test is also listed in the international database for proficiency tests "eptis" http://www.eptis.bam.de.
