Gas Scrubbers

Bete Gas - Packed Tower Scrubber

The packed tower is built according to the counter-flow principle: the gas or airstream travels upwards through the tower, meeting the scrubber liquid - which flows downwards - on its way.

Bete Gas - Ejector Scrubber

An ejector scrubber employs pressure to achieve very high efficiency. The gas stream and the scrubber fluid are mixed, and then sent into a narrowing tunnel. This bottleneck is where the pressure builds up, and where the absorption process accelerates.

Bete Gas - Venturi Scrubber

This gas scrubber accelerates the scrubber liquid, together with the air or gas exhaust stream, to high velocities and turbulence. This happens in the bottleneck of the venturi. Behind this bottleneck, the pressure drops, reducing flow velocity back to normal. At this point, contaminant particles are collected and removed.

Other Scrubber

Bete Gas - Exhaust Gas Scrubber

The term exhaust gas stream is used for air or gas streams, loaded with hazardous components, that are expelled into open air. Exhaust gas streams can be found in many industrial applications:

Bete Gas - Ethylene Oxide and Propylene Oxide Removal Scrubber

EO (Ethylene Oxide: C2H4O) en PO (Propylene Oxide: C3H6O) are extremely flammable and toxic components. Both on short as well as on long term, they act as carcinogens and mutagens. Because of these effects on mankind and the environment, very strict emission standards apply in many countries.

Bete Gas - Ammonia Scrubber

Ammonia (NH3) is a frequently used gas with a typical smell. It damages copper and its alloys, and must therefore be kept away from copper conductors.

Bete Gas - Industrial Odor Control Scrubber

In case of odor nuisance, social concerns are often very important. When no odor control measures are taken, the dislike of an industrial plants neighborhoud can lead to negative publicity in the media. In some cases, governemental involvement might lead to environmental investigations.

Bete Gas - Hydrogen Sulphide Scrubber (H2S)

Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S) is a toxic and flammable gas that has a smell of rotten egs. It`s smell treshold is extremely low: 0.0005 PPM.

Bete Gas - Scrubbers for Specialty Gases Filling Stations

Many specialty gases are sold in cylinders. Before these cylinders can be filled again, they must be completely emptied, and carefully examined for possible failures. Even in the filling station itself, an amount of dangerous gas can rest behind after filling and closing of the cylinder. This gas must be carefully removed, and the flexible must be vacuumed, before the cylinder can be disconnected from the flexible.
