The BIONEST advanced treatment system reproduces, maintains and enhances the natural purification process normally performed in soil. Biological treatment takes place in an underground tank to minimize the occupation of land. The controlled environment helps to eliminate all residues from wastewater that are harmful to your health and the environment.

We offer an enhanced septic system: the septic tank is maintained, but with a significant reduction in the area used for the leaching bed by replacing it with a BIONEST reactor. The purification process for the BIONEST system is quite natural and relies on a depolluting process using bacteria, similar to those present in leaching bed soil. These bacteria attach themselves to the non-biodegradable BIONEST media and eliminate waste and bacteria harmful to humans and the environment.

When ground infiltration proves impossible (insufficient space, rock level, water table, etc.), ultraviolet (UV) ray disinfection is the solution of choice. Combining the BIONEST advanced secondary system with the UV disinfection unit can produce treated water that is practically fecal coliform free.

The BIO-UV disinfection unit is fully integrated into the BIONEST reactor and is easy to maintain. It is used to respond to various issues such as smaller sized lots or land which has constraints with respect to setbacks, clay soils or situations where compliance is difficult.

Our phosphorus removal unit is designed for commercial, institutional and community applications where the receiving waters’ sensitivity level requires that the phosphorus be removed. It decreases the amount of phosphorus discharged into the environment to a below 1 mg/L level and is based on a chemical coagulation followed by decantation.

With its strong experience in domestic type wastewater treatment and through increasing demand, Bionest has developed a system for treatment of high organic load wastewater. The BCM technology offers a robust, simple and economical treatment solution for high organic load wastewaters, such as restaurants and golf clubs.

KAMAK its design to ensures wastewater treatment performances for the northern conditions. Materials used provide a high resistance level to waves, winds and ice. Biofilm growth on the Bionest patented media provide optimal performance in cold waters, for carbonaceous degradation as well as nitrification. The technology relies on its ease of operation and energy efficiency.

In order to respond to the needs of construction sites and remote camps, Bionest has developed a relocatable unit adapted to northern regions and extreme climate: the BIONEST KODIAK. The BIONEST technology is installed in containers allowing the units to be easily relocated, if required. BIONEST KODIAK systems can be transported by various means including truck, boat or even helicopter, if this is the only way to access the site.
