BIRK - High Temperature Heating Element
Birk Manufacturing has increased its product offering by introducing a new line of thin-film high temperature flexible heaters. These high-performance heating elements are capable of operating at temperatures up to 300°C. Their lightweight, low mass design allows for very fast heat-up times.
BICK - Silicone Rubber Heating Systems
Silicone rubber heaters by Birk Manufacturing, Inc., feature rugged construction and are immensely flexible. These silicone heaters are chemical-resistant, which enhances their scope of application in various industrial environments where they may come in contact with chemicals. Our flexible silicone heating elements can be paired with different industrial components like fuses, thermostats, RTDs, thermocouples, heat sinks, wiring harnesses, and other industrial hardware. Being one of the leading silicone rubber heater manufacturers, we understand that standard solutions may not work for all applications. This is why we provide custom flexible silicone heating elements based on the customer’s requirements.
BIRK - Mica Insulated Heating Elements and Systems
Birk’s mica heaters are designed for applications that require higher-than-normal watt densities and fast temperature recovery. Our customized mica heating elements have shaded watt densities for even heat distribution. These heaters are manufactured with specialized phlogopite (mica paper) as the insulation material. This mica paper consists of the mica mineral (phlogopite) infused with a high-temperature heat-resisting polymer, thus creating a thin high-temperature insulator. These high-temperature mica heaters can be shaped into 2D geometric designs and more intricate clamped mica heater assemblies. Mica heating elements are designed for clamped applications, making them ideal for hot plates, metal-strip heaters and surfaces where direct contact is not an issue.
Temperature Sensors
BIRK - Sensors (Resistance Temperature Detector)
Birk Manufacturing’s RTD sensors are highly accurate and quick-responding sensing elements. They utilize the direct relationship between resistance and temperature to provide consistent and measurable results. RTDs have broad temperature ranges and are less susceptible to EMI, vibration and temperature shock compared to a traditional thermocouple. RTD sensing elements provide excellent long-term stability and are available in small dimensions.
BIRK - Thermocouple Sensors
Birk Manufacturing, Inc. is a manufacturer and supplier of a wide variety of thermocouple temperature sensors and probes. Thermocouples are temperature-sensing devices that consist of two dissimilar metal wires that are joined together to form a thermoelectric junction. At Birk Manufacturing, Inc. we can provide thermocouple assemblies created using various pairs of thermocouple wire types. Generally, our thermocouple wire pairs feature platinum/rhodium-alloy and tungsten/rhenium-alloy.
