Gearboxes

BJ - Worm Gearboxes

The design of the BJ worm gearbox is simple and well proven. We only use high quality components such as houses in cast iron, aluminum and stainless steel, worms in case hardened and polished steel and worm wheels in high-grade bronze of special alloys ensuring the optimum wearability. The seals of the worm gearbox are provided with a dust lip which effectively resists dust and water. In addition, the gearboxes are greased for life with synthetic oil.

Premium - Stainless Steel Coils Worm Gearboxes

The stainless steel gearboxes are made of a smooth stainless gear housing, they are life lubricated, and can of course be supplied with oil approved for the food industry. Oil seals are as standard made of nitrile rubber. To reduce the risk of bacterial growth, the design is characterised by smooth machined surfaces without unnecessary flanges, recesses and mounting holes. It is also possible to order the gearboxes with torque arm, side flange, free worm and plug-in shaft. Other adjustments are performed on request. In cases where you want a complete hygienic gear motor, we can offer the BJ gearboxes fitted with stainless AC or servo motor.

BJ Standard - Stainless Steel Coils Worm Gearboxes

BJ-Gear A/S offers a standard self-produced stainless steel gearbox range of high quality. The series is developed specifically for the food industry and other industries where there are continuously stringent requirements for the resistance of the material and easy-to-clean design.

For linear motions, we offer our successful actuator programme consisting of two variants: Actuators based on a worm gear drive and actuators based on a belt drive.

BJ - Stainless Steel Actuator

At BJ-Gear A/S, we are expanding our range of products with a completely new stainless steel actuator with a IP69K classification. The sealing is made of FDA-approved material and with the hygienic and easy-to-clean design as well as a protection of IP69K, the stainless steel actuator is particularly suitable for the food industry.

The design of the BJ-Gear worm gear screw jacks is compact, simple and their modular construction allows great flexibility in the choice of gear, mounting options, flanges, oil types and surface treatments.

Bearings

BJ - Waterproof Bearings

The NG bearings are waterproof and maintenance-free. They are designed with round corners and a smooth surface to reduce the risk of bacteria growth. They can be cleaned with all types of cleaning products and most chemicals. BJ-Gear offers 5 different types of NG bearings. We offer flange bearings with 2 bolts, 3 bolts, and 4 bolts, and we offer pillow block bearings with 2 bolts and with 2 bolts and thread. The bearings are an excellent supplement to the hygienic BJ-GEAR solutions within gearboxes and actuators to for example the food industry.

BJ - Stainless Steel Bearings

Stainless steel bearing units are very suitable for the food industry and other demanding environments, due to the hygienic design and minimum maintenance. Our stainless steel bearings are characterised by high quality and finish for both the bearing and the bearing housing.

Brakes and Clutches

BJ - Spring Loaded Brakes

The spring loaded brakes are often used as safety brakes. Permanent magnet brakes are active by way of a permanent magnetic field and can thus connect the axles in a tension free mode. The spring loaded brake is supplied ready to be mounted. The air gaps for FLC, FDW are fixed without adjustment, and the air gap of FDB, FDD and FDR brakes is preset before leaving the factory. If adjustment later on is needed it is possible without removing the brake from the motor.
