The Blighter B422 LR (Long Range) Border Surveillance System comprises Blighter’s longest range radar configuration, the B400 series high-power ground radar system fitted with ‘N5S’ extended range antennas. This system provides up to 360° of pure electronic-scanning coverage with no mechanical rotation, using low-power solid-state transmitters.

Blighter’s ‘A422 Deployable Radar System’ is a fully integrated off-the-shelf drone detection and ground surveillance system. Its primary mission is the detection of nano and micro-drones, now being commonly used on battlefields and in urban combat zones for hostile reconnaissance. Detectable drone types include consumer drones such as the DJI Phantom, DJI Mavic and DJI Mini. DJI Phantom 3 or 4 drones can be detected by the radar up to 3.5 km in range. Larger ground or air targets, including battlefield UAVs such as the Eleron-3 and Orlan-10 can be detected up to a maximum of 20 km in range.

The Anti-UAV Defence System (AUDS) is designed to disrupt and neutralise Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) engaged in hostile airborne surveillance and potentially malicious activity. AUDS combines electronic-scanning radar target detection, electro-optical (EO) tracking/classification and directional RF inhibition capability. AUDS is a smart-sensor and effector package capable of remotely detecting small UAVs and then tracking and classifying them before providing the option to disrupt their activity. The system may be used in remote or urban areas to prevent UAVs being used for terrorist attacks, espionage or other malicious activities against sites with critical infrastructure.

Blighter’s ‘B202/B303 Portable Radar Systems’ are fully integrated off-the-shelf GSRs (Ground Surveillance Radars). Their primary mission is the detection of walking or crawling persons and vehicles in cluttered environments. Additionally, they can detect drones deliberately being flown close to the ground in order to avoid detection.

Blighter Explorer is a portable radar and camera system that uses the Blighter electronic scanning Doppler Ground Surveillance Radar (GSR) for the rapid detection of moving targets. The radar automatically cues a long range camera with optional night time Thermal Imager (TI) to stare in the direction of the target, enabling the operator to recognise and identify that intruder. The radar image is displayed on the BlighterView HMI 2 screen with the camera video on a secondary screen.
