The 2550 Balloon Forming Machine is designed for the production of a wide range of polymer balloons for angioplasty and other medical applications. The electrically heated stretch blow molding process enables the production of various very accurate and repeatable high-quality balloons with tight tolerances in an extensive variety of sizes and shapes.

The 1555 Balloon Machine is designed for the production of a wide range of different high-quality plastic balloons and convinces with its small footprint for an optimal use of production floor space. The vertical layout is ideal for a primary-secondary concept, where up to three additional machines can be connected to gradually meet growing production demands. The colored illumination shows the current process status of the machine for a user-friendly application. The machine is equipped with a PLC control, a PC with touch screen and the BW-TEC HMI. All process parameters for individual products can be stored in separate recipes. Due to the network compatibility a connection to production databases can be made possible.

This 4-fold height adjustable balloon forming machine is used for the production of different plastic balloons. This machine has the capability to produce up to 4 balloons in once cycle. It is equipped with a PLC controller and PC. A connection to an external database will also be provided. The molds are clamped by four compact cylinder on one linear slide guidance. The table surface tilted towards the operator enables a distinct ergonomic operation. This machine has an outstanding production rate and can produce balloons with excellent results.

The Hot Air Station can be used for different application and should be available in every catheter production. It is helpful for heat shrink fixation, luer bend protection and welding of simple connections in different applications. Possible process parameters are temperature, flow, time and nozzle shape.

The Laser Welding Machine is used to connect fine plastic tubing. This machine is ideal for welding of balloon catheters. This connection technology allows short, soft and flexible welding-connections. The end result is precisely reproducible. In the machine 1410 the product is easily accessible and close to the operator. The touch screen user interface enables process data and user management. All movement axes are highly accurate and the machine is optimized for quick and easy maintenance.

The Vertical Necking Machine is designed to neck down balloon tubes. This process step comes prior to the balloon forming process. The target is to reduce the tube diameter beforehand in order to eliminate the calibration process after balloon forming. The tube is heated partially by a specifically designed air nozzle and the diameter is reduced by axial moving of two linear slides with different speed and travel. The final diameter of the tube can be changed by adjusting either temperature, speed, travel or relative motion of the two axis. The parameters of every product can be stored as recipe in order to achieve reproducibility.

The Necking Machine is designed to neck down balloon tubes. The tube is pulled through a heated die and reduced to a defined diameter. The die is split into two parts to enable easy loading. The final diameter of the tube can be changed by adjusting the following parameters: die diameter, temperature, speed and sensor position. The parameters of every product can be stored as recipe in order to achieve reproducibility. The machine provides fast process time and precisely repeatable lengths, even with larger tube dimensions which are difficult to process on hot air neck down systems.

The 2766 1UP Pressure Tester with leak detection is a Hydraulic Burst Tester designed for customers in the field of development and production of angioplasty catheters. The control system gives the opportunity to choose different pressure cycles for products with specific requirements, and store these as a dataset.

This device is used for the simultaneous final inspection of up to eight balloon catheters. The product is subjected to a specific pressure or vacuum and held for a defined time. The corresponding LED flashes when the pressure drops below the specification. The process parameters can be entered and managed via the user interface. The process data are displayed directly and can be visualised graphically in the test report. The process can consist of up to five parameter steps, which start automatically or manually. The balloons can be deflated with a vacuum pump after the test.

The manual 1401 Cutting Device is specially designed to cut plastic tubes with a small diameter and a thin wall thickness. The cutting head is mounted on a precision linear slide. An industrial cutting blade supported by a product V-guide with a cutting slit is able to produce a perfect rectangular cut. The adjustable stopper guarantees a reproducible length. The 1401 Cutting Device can be ordered with different ruler lengths.
