C&R Technologies, Inc. (`CRTech`) software
Complete CAD-based Thermal Engineering Tool Suite
C&R Thermal Desktop® enables thermal engineers to create models that range from small components to complete systems. It is general-purpose, which means it is suitable for everything from commercial submarine components to planetary exploration systems. Finite difference and finite element objects are combined with environment definitions in AutoCAD’s 3D design environment. Thermal Desktop creates the node and conduction network, launches SINDA/FLUINT for the solution, and provides post-processing results. Thermal Desktop clearly shows our dedication to giving users the very best in thermal and fluids analysis. It allows you to handle the engineering judgment while it takes care of the grunt work.
RadCAD - Radiation Heat Transfer and Environmental Heating Tools
RadCAD computes radiation exchange factors within the thermal model and with the environment using both solar and infrared spectra. It is a module available for use with Thermal Desktop® or even as a standalone product, and it operates in the same CAD environment.
FloCAD - Fluid Dynamics Software
FloCAD is a fluid dynamics software add-on module for Thermal Desktop®, together they provide a complete thermohydraulic software tool for fully integrated fluid flow and heat transfer analysis. With FloCAD, the mechanics of building fluid flow models is very similar to that of building thermal models, with many of the commands applicable to both types of models. FloCAD models can be free-form (non-geometric), sketchpad style flow network modeling for abstraction and simplification, or they can be geometry-based by including objects such as pipe centerlines and cross-sections, complexly shaped vessels, or convection to finite difference of finite element representations of thermal structures.
Geometry Preparation and Thermal Finite Element Mesher Software
CRTech TD Direct® fills the gap between design geometry and C&R Thermal Desktop®. TD Direct operates within ANSYS SpaceClaim®, a CAD tool that focuses on preparing geometry for analysis, just as Thermal Desktop operates within Autodesk's AutoCAD. With TD Direct, thermal engineers are able to solve many of the problems that have challenged them for years. Waiting for initial geometry or updates is no longer an issue as TD Direct lets thermal engineers easily create or modify geometry on their own using SpaceClaim's easy to learn push/pull interface. Our powerful mesh controls, including curved elements and swept meshes, were developed specifically for thermal modeling. TD Direct is designed to speed up model generation and design iterations without compromising accuracy, which makes it an essential companion to Thermal Desktop whether for analysis of complex geometry, evolving designs, or both.
OpenTD - Application Programming Interface (API) for Thermal Desktop
We have made the vast capabilities of Thermal Desktop as user-friendly as possible. We have included the ability to add Fortran code that is solved along with the models to expand those capabilities. We are frequently impressed with the various ways our users expand Thermal Desktop`s capabilities using the existing tools, often in ways we never anticipated. OpenTD, the Application Programming Interface (API) for Thermal Desktop, is the next step in this evolution. We give you control over Thermal Desktop so you can automate many of the tasks that can become repetitive and tedious. We are eager to see what you can do with it. Using your own programming, OpenTD will allow you to make your own interface, automate model creation, query existing models, update existing models, customize your post processing tools, and much more. Watch our introductory webinar to see if this OpenTD is right for you.
