Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Services

Cambium offers ambient air quality field monitoring and sampling services for a diverse range of applications and settings (industrial, municipal, construction projects, etc.). Our team’s widespread expertise in meteorology, atmospheric chemistry, and regulatory guidelines provides our clients with the confidence in high-quality results and analytical data.

Erosion & Sediment Control Services

Cambium is experienced in preparing Erosion and Sediment Control Plans for a variety of applications including residential, commercial and infrastructure development as well as for infrastructure maintenance activities adjacent to environmentally sensitive features. Our personnel have received in depth training in the development of Erosion and Sediment Control Plans, as well as hands on training with a variety of temporary and permanent erosion and sediment control measures.

Problem Site Recommendations Services

Our extensive geotechnical knowledge and expertise allows us to assess “problem sites”, where soil or groundwater conditions are less than favourable for the proposed development, and develop options and site specific solutions that work with the Client’s needs.

Construction Dewatering & Permits Services

Field investigations completed to assess site soil properties and groundwater levels to develop construction recommendations including need for dewatering, either advanced or during construction. Cambium staff will prepare the Permit to Take Water application on the Client’s behalf and can provide a dewatering plan for construction.

Materials Testing Laboratory Services

Cambium operates its own materials testing laboratory facility. With this addition, our firm provides a full service line in geotechnical engineering from the initial investigation through to on-site inspections, including laboratory materials testing of the various products used. With over 85 years of combined experience, our senior laboratory staff oversees a team of competent, certified technicians trained in the various materials testing methods.

Cambium staff provide acoustic and noise control design to architects, mechanical engineers, and developers for a variety of building types ranging from custom homes to international hotels, condominiums to office buildings, schools and libraries to courthouses and prisons. Certification Services

The use of certification programs for sustainable buildings construction and operation continues to grow. Our Cambium team has commercial property management experience, and is able to provide consultation for both LEED for Existing Buildings: Operations & Maintenance and BOMA BESt.
