In the process of drinking water production, numbers of hazardous compounds have to be removed. This process is becoming complicated day by day due to environment pollution all over the world. CarbUSA offers wide range of powdered activated carbon (PAC) and granular activated carbon (GAC) for removing of hydrocarbons, pesticides including by products, colours, taste and odours, detergents, and for dechlorination and deozonation.

Gas scrubbers are used to treat gas treatment liquids such as Benefield solution, DEA, MEA etc. In gas sweetening process, these liquids absorb H2S and CO2 from natural gas reducing corrosion problem and maintaining heating value of the gas. CarbUSA offers GAC for these gas scrubbers for treating such gas treatment liquids.

Air / Gas treatment to restrict harmful odourous gases is one of the key requirements in petroleum industry. In some cases, it is required to treat gases to protect catalysts, downstream equipment, pipes etc. Furthermore, as air emission regulations drives the need for the stringent control of hazardous air pollutants, gases with impurity levels of few hundreds ppm are to be treated cost effectively. Air/ gas treatment using activated carbon is the cheapest method for this type of treatments and well ahead of any of the other treatment technologies.

Catalytic extractions of mercaptans and H₂S from refinery products are required to remove the sour and foul odours. Ceycarb GAC products are used as carriers for the catalysts for optimal mercaptan to disulfide conversion.
