Concrete Dams
Carpi waterproofing geomembrane systems are used on these dams at the upstream face, to restore watertightness to the entire face, or at leaking zones, or at cracks.
Canals
Canals are generally lined, and over time the environment and the dynamic forces of water can deteriorate the lining. Increased permeability, deterioration of joints, and formation of cracks, result in loss of water, increased hydraulic roughness, possible slope instability. Carpi waterproofing geomembrane systems in canals are mostly used for rehabilitation.
Reservoirs
Reservoirs are designed to safely store a valuable liquid. Over time, poor resistance of the structure to environmental agents, action of the retained water, of the environment and of water treatment chemicals, may affect watertightness and jeopardize water quality. Carpi waterproofing geomembrane systems are installed to provide imperviousness at construction, or adopted as repair measure to stop leakage.
Tunnels Hydraulic
Hydraulic tunnels can be subject to severe service conditions, such as high hydrostatic heads and water velocity that may cause severe deterioration of the concrete. The resultant cracking and spalling will allow seepage of water through the structure that can undermine its stability. In addition, the increased roughness of the surface will reduce the water flow.
