A15 Manhole Covers – designed for use in areas where there will be no vehicular access. They are suitable only for pedestrians and cyclists so are often found in pedestrian walkways, gardens and yards. All of our A15 access covers are made to BS EN124 and certified as such. Polypropylene Inspection Chamber (PPIC) covers are extremely common and there is usually at least one on each property.  Our PPIC covers are made from grey iron and sit in a polypropylene frame. They come complete with locking screws and can be sealed with grease to prevent egress of odours.  The other A15 manhole covers within our range are again made with grey iron and come complete with an iron frame.

B125 Gully Grates – Suitable for footways, pedestrian areas, car parks or parking decks with very light vehicular use. B125 gully grates, also known as yard gullies, are designed to fit on small bottle gullies. They have a much greater load bearing than their plastic counter parts and are therefore perfect for farm yards, car parks and school yards. Dished gratings also mean that they will sit in a dished concrete channel.

B125 Manhole Covers – for use in areas that may be subject very light vehicular use in domestic or industrial settings. We recommend B125 manhole covers for driveways, footpaths where vehicles may mount the kerb and shopping precincts where delivery vehicles and pallet trucks operate. Designed in the UK; our B125 range of covers are extremely robust. They are tested and certified to BS EN124. The lids are designed so that they can slide out from the frame which makes opening the manhole easier and there are various options available including bespoke badges and additional locks.

C250 Gully Grates – Suitable for kerbside channels of roads extending 50cm in to the carriage way or 20cm in to the footway. Ideal for car parks, petrol stations and where slow moving traffic is present. Our range of C250 gully grates are suited for kerb side applications on roads and in areas where slow moving heavy vehicles are present. The anti-theft hinge design prevents scrap metal theft and an additional stainless steel bolt can be added to deter unauthorised opening. For gratings in cycle paths or car parks we have a pedestrian mesh grating to give added safety.

D400 Manhole Covers – Suitable for carriageways of roads, hard shoulders and parking areas for all types of road going vehicles. Our D400 manhole covers are tested and certified in compliance with BS EN124 and are also fully compliant with CD534, HA104/09 and BS7903. We also subject our covers to additional tests such as randomly placed load tests which aren’t outlined in any standard but are more in line with real life scenarios. The covers we produce are suitable for many applications; storm drains and sewers, telecom and street lighting duct chambers, railway and motorway communications chambers included.

The supply of fresh, clean water to the home is essential and the responsibilities placed on those delivering the service are understandably huge. At Castings Services we understand the pressure to deliver and we therefore commit to supporting our customers fully with their pipeline supply requirements. We commit to holding plentiful stocks of standard ductile iron pressure pipes and high pressure pipe fittings to suit EN545 clean water applications and we also commit to delivering these products within the quickest possible timescale.

Waste water treatment, including transportation to the treatment works, is as vital as the supply of clean water to the home. We work with a wide variety of customers involved in the waste water and sewage treatment industry from water authorities to pumped drainage specialists so our technical sales team has a depth of knowledge and a broad range of experience. As with the clean water pipe, we keep extensive stocks ranging from 80mm to 900mm with larger sizes available upon request. The majority of our EN598 fittings are PN16 flanged but we do still keep a significant amount of socket and spigot pipe and fittings for lower pressure and buried applications.

For convenience and speed we keep stocks, in both blue and red, of standard lengths of socket and spigot pipe as well as pre-fabricated double flanged pipes, in one metre incremental lengths, up to and including five metres. However, for more complex projects that require bespoke lengths, tie flanges, BSP bosses and puddle flanges, we offer a pipe fabrication service. We can fabricate all diameters of ductile iron pipe in EN545 and EN598 to be double flanged, flange spigot, double spigot and rocker pipes.

Metal Seated Gate Valves – Available in sizes from 50mm to 2000mm our BS EN1074 wedge gate valves are stocked in PN16 as standard with PN6, PN10 and PN25 rated valves available on request. Gate valves are often found in below ground chambers acting as isolation for fire hydrants or pumps and can be used on both potable and waste water applications due to their WRAS approved epoxy coating. There are a number of bespoke adaptions we can offer including gearboxes, anti-clockwise closing, bypasses and actuation.

Predominately used on drinking water applications our WRAS approved PN16 soft seat gate valves are stocked in sizes 50mm to 600mm. The resilient EPDM seat gives an extremely good seal and the robust design aims to give decades of service. Again there are a number of adaptions we can offer including; gearboxes, anti-clockwise closing, bypasses and actuation.
