Civil Services
Charter self performs civil construction projects in a wide range of settings. From sensitive ecological habitats or tightly constrained urban locations to waterfront parcels. Regardless of the location, our project teams focus on our clients’ needs. We deploy thoughtful planning, specialized equipment and engineering controls to complete the work safely and as intended. We thoroughly evaluate each project location and its unique requirements in order to implement the right approach that reduces the local impacts while maximizing productivity.
Soil Management Services
Charter is a recognized leader in managing a full range of regulated soils as well as other waste types including sediments, sludge’s, debris, drums and bulk liquids. Transportation, disposal or recycling of contaminated wastes, can result in significant risk and liabilities to generators and project owners if not managed properly. Charter mitigates this risk through a best in class insurance program paired with its in-depth knowledge of Federal, State and Local regulatory requirements. We routinely conduct audits of facilities to ensure compliance with EPA requirements and have in-house regulatory specialists. Charter provides a full range of waste management activities including waste characterization and profiling, on-site treatment and beneficial reuse, disposal facility selection, and waste manifesting tracking and reporting.
Development Services
Charter has successfully leveraged its construction capabilities to reposition distressed property and Brownfield sites back into a productive use. Through these development efforts, Charter has the proven expertise to add value when transitioning liabilities into assets. Projects include the redevelopment of historic industrial buildings in urban environments into multi-use residential, the design/build of parking structures to the reclamation of depleted quarries or closed landfills for passive recreational or renewable energy use. Charter’s development services can be provided as a fee based contractor or at risk owner/developer/investor.
