SuperDebind - Binder Removal from Injection Moulded Components

The SuperDebind utilises supercritical fluid extraction to remove binders from injection moulded components. The working principle is dissolving the binders in supercritical carbon dioxide and thereby removing them from the components. This environmentally friendly solution also reduces debinding time compared to conventional methods. All parts are made of stainless steel. Fully automated operation. Compact design.

Rotowasher - Precision Parts Cleaning System

The Rotowasher utilises a revolutionary rotating cleaning basket and benign carbon dioxide as solvent. This environmentally friendly solution achieves highest purity in precision parts cleaning. All parts are made of stainless steel. Compact design.

Polyurethane Chemicals

Model MDI - Methylenediphenyl Diisocyanate

MDI is produced from Benzene by nitration to Nitrobenzene (NB) followed by hydrogenation of NB to produce Aniline (AN). The Aniline is condensed with formaldehyde to produce a diamine, MDA (Methylene diphenyl diamine). MDA is finally phosgenated to produce the end product, MDI. The crude MDI consists of several different isomers and oligomers which are separated into two ring MDI (pure MDI and OMDI) and oligomeric MDI’s, PMI.

Hydrogen Peroxide Plant

Hydrogen Peroxide Production Plant

Chematur offers plants to produce hydrogen peroxide by the well-known anthraquinone process. Our technology is state of the art with high yield, capacity and quality. The overall process is schematically shown in the figure above. The working solution (WS), containing a substituted anthraquinone dissolved in a mixture of solvents, is first hydrogenated in the presence of a catalyst to the corresponding anthrahydroquinone. The next step is to oxidize the anthrahydroquinone by passing air through the WS to regain the anthraquinone at the same time as hydrogen peroxide is produced. The product is extracted from the WS by contacting it with demineralized water to give crude H2O2which is purified to reduce organic contaminants.

Model SPC - Sodium Percarbonate Production Plants

Chematur is marketing a process to produce Sodium Percarbonate (SPC) which is based on mixing Sodium Carbonate and Hydrogen Peroxide in a fluid bed where heat is input to remove the water. The mixing device is proprietary and patented. The SPC produced is withdrawn from the fluid bed as granules of a specific size. The SPC granules can be coated with an inert substance to improve the storage stability which is important, especially at warm, humid conditions.

Bio Chemicals

Acetic Acid

The ethanol is taken to the acetic acid plant and is first converted to acetaldehyde, thereafter to acetic acid. Acetic acid is produced by air oxidation of acetaldehyde in liquid phase using a dissolved catalyst. The reaction product containing unreacted acetaledyde, acetic acid and peracetic acid is heated and passed through another reactor where peracetic acid is reduced to acetic acid. Acetaldehyde is stripped away and recycled to the process. In a final distillation the water is removed leaving glacial acetic acid (99.5%) as the bottom product which is cooled and sent to storage. Acetic acid is raw material for vinylacetate, acetic anhydride, cellulose acetate, acetic esters, glycol ether acetates, chloroacetic acid, PTA and Pharmaceuticals.

Explosives and Propellants Manufacturing

Model NG - Nitroglycerine Manufacturings

The injector nitration process was developed in Sweden and gave a revolutionary improvement of safety in the risky manufacturing of nitroglycerine and nitro glycol. The process is continuous – the reaction is performed instantaneously in an injector. Chematur Engineering has developed a unique washing/separation centrifuge with low RPM. The amount of free NG in the system is very low. NG from washing is stored with water in emulsion tanks with hydraulic stirring making the NG non-explosive and also giving an additional washing.

Model TNT - Trinitrotoluene (TNT) Manufacturing

The continuous TNT process developed by Chematur Engineering (CEAB) has been used in more than 20 projects with excellent safety record and very good performance. Our process includes continuous nitration of toluene or orthonitro-toluene, prewashing of the crude TNT, sellite washing of the crude TNT, post sellite washing of the purified TNT and finally drying, flaking and packing.
