Membrane Modules

UEL - Pressurised Membrane Modules

The pressurized membrane modules are made of high performance PVDF hollow fibre UF membranes, characterised by high performance, ease of cleaning, high flux and lower energy consumption. The modules are widely used for treatment of drinking water, industrial water, municipal/ industrial wastewater and desalination of seawater, as well as special separations in various industries such as food beverage, biopharmaceutical, petroleum, chemical, electronics, environmental and power generation.

UEL - Submerged Membrane Modules

Memstar’s submerged modules are made of high performance PDVF hollow fibre UF membranes and are characterised by high performance, ease of cleaning, high flux and lower energy consumption. The modules are designed mainly for the processes of MBR (Membrane Bio-Reactor) and MCR (Membrane Chemical Reactors). The modules are used in MBR process for treatment of municipal / industrial waste water. In MCR process, the membrane modules can be used for the production of tap water and industrial water by removing suspended solids / flocculants from the raw water. (e.g. surface water, plant wastewater).

Other Products

UEL - Membrane Bioreactor (MBR)

Membrane Bio-Reactor (MBR) is an advanced wastewater treatment technology which combines membrane separation with biological wastewater treatment. Membrane acts as a physical barrier that retains micros in the reactor. It eliminates the use of sedimentation tank, greatly enhances the efficiency of the reactor and reduces the size of the treatment system. We estimate that MBR occupies approximately 20% to 30% of the space required by a traditional biological treatment plant. Furthermore, there is more resilience to shock loading (which is a sudden increase in contaminant concentration during a wastewater treatment process) and variation in raw water quality.

UEL - Continuous Membrane Filtration System (CMF)

Continuous Membrane Filtration (CMF) is a water treatment technology that utilises microfiltraion / ultrafiltration membrane to achieve removal of very small contaminants in water. A typical CMF system is made up of a membrane filtration unit and a membrane cleaning system.

UEL - Reverse Osmosis (RO) Systems

Reverse Osmosis (RO) is a process that reverses (by application of pressure) the flow of water in the natural process of osmosis so that it passes from the more concentrated solution to the more diluted solution. The pore size of the RO membrane is approximately 1 nm. As such, almost all the contaminants will not be able to pass through the RO membrane. RO is often used to produce drinkable pure water. CITIC Envirotech has successfully applied this technology in water treatment for power plant, electronic sector, petrochemical, foodstuff and textile industries.

UEL - Model CMF - Reverse Osmosis (RO) Systems

CMF with RO technology is an integration of CMF and RO technologies into one system. RO is very demanding on the quality of the input water to prevent fouling of the membrane. CMF compliments RO as it is capable of producing high quality water suitable for RO. It is used as the pre-treatment for RO, this will help to reduce membrane fouling and lengthen the life of RO. CITIC Envirotech has proprietary knowledge of the integration of the two technologies into a single system. We have successfully installed many such plants.
