It can be programmed to measure both Iron II and Iron III (via onboard acidification and reduction processes). The system is robust and fully submersible to 6000 m deep. Key applications include scientific (e.g. iron cycling in rivers, coastal and hydrothermal areas) and industrial (e.g. corrosion and process monitoring).

This results in sensors that can be deployed for extended periods (up to 1-year), conducting high-quality laboratory-grade measurements. The range currently consists of sensors for phosphate, nitrate, silicate, dissolved iron and pH.
