The production of food for a growing population poses increasing challenges for the commercial farms. More and more fertilizer is no solution, as they would permanently damage our environment. Closed systems such as greenhouses, on the other hand, offer a controlled environmental situation with optimal growth and protection conditions for the plants. That is why growing acreage under plastic and glass is growing worldwide in commercial horticulture. As a preferred construction, the Venlo convertible greenhouse crystallizes in high-quality areas. As a covering, among other things, inflatable double films are used, which are energy-saving and also find application in curing houses for young plants.

For many years, CMC Klebetechnik has been making a type of tape that is particularly effective in repairing ETFE film greenhouses/horticultural buildings. The tape consists of a 100µm strong EFTE film from Nowofol. This tape is extremely resistant to chemicals and ageing and adheres really well to almost all surfaces, as well as being resistant to infiltration (by rain, dew or condensation). You can also use the CMC 77700 / CMC 77701 EFTE tape for sticking on chafe marks that pose a particular risk, helping to maintain the durability of the film covering.
