Emission sources (stack emissions) are found across different industries including power generation, cement production, steel making, energy from waste, chemicals processing, oil and gas refining and food processing.

Emission monitoring systems that measure emissions released into the atmosphere are used to demonstrate compliance with environmental regulations.

It is preferred, to report gaseous or solid emissions in a format that allows for a comparison of emissions from diff

For decades coal has been the fuel of choice for most power stations around the world but also happens to be the most pollutant. The environmental regulation in Europe, China and India has stringent emission limits which coal fired power stations are finding it increasingly difficult and expensive to comply with and are therefore employing such systems as SCR and SNCR.

Selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems are typically found on small and large boilers, gas turbines, diesel engi

Power plants, cement plants, steel plants, smelters, asphalt plants, incinerators, food manufacturers, chemical producers, pharmaceutical producers, and other industrial companies are widely using bag filters to control Dust Emission. On some applications bag filters are also used to capture other product coming out of mills, for example, cement, coal, and other raw materials.

Fabric filters, without doubt, are an extremely efficient pollution control device with the ability to captur

CODEL tunnel sensors are designed exclusively for road tunnel applications. Our range of sensors provide all the essential measurements necessary to monitor and control the tunnel atmosphere.

Whilst the initial cost to install analysers into the tunnel may seem significant the energy savings achieved over a period of just one year can show a substantial return on the initial outlay.

This can be evidenced in a road tunnel that had fans operating continuously for 24 hours per da

Many industrial processes release flue gases to the atmosphere. Under European Directives the majority of those are classed as emission sources and therefore require continuous emission monitoring.

European standards for monitoring pollutants and flow for CEMS (Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems) are already in place and other countries usually follow them to some extent.

The CODEL VCEM5100 was one of the very first volumetric flow meters that received the TUV QAL 1 Certif

Smoke and dust are both known as particulate matter (PM).  PM can be measured via a number of different techniques, including Opacity and Triboelectric effect.

Opacity is a measure of light attenuated as it crosses the stack. A proportion of the light is lost through scattering, absorption and reflection by the PM in the stack. The amount of light lost depends on the number and the size of the particles. This loss of light density can directly be related to the PM in the stack. O
