Determination of the resistance of elastomers in regard to material loss due to abrasion. Abrasion tests are performed on materials which are subject to wear and tear during their working life, e.g . tires, conveyor and drive belts, shoe soles.

Coesfeld - Model LFT - Dynamic Linear Friction Tester

Linear friction test of rubber to exchangeable frictional partners within a temperature controlled chamber. The dynamic friction tester is controlled from PC via Coesfeld WIN Friction software. The machine consists of a highly dynamic linear electro drive, which horizontally moves a t nut base plate, which holds the friction surface. A measuring head with three component force sensor for normal, friction and lateral forces holds the specimen and is statically loaded via weight set with auto lifting function.

Coesfeld - Model ICCA - Instrumented Chip and Cut Analyser

First instrumented chip, cut and chunk analyser. A round rubber specimen is rotated at user defined speed while a pneumatically actuated impactor hits the specimen. Force, stroke, duration and repeating cycle of impact can be defined by the user via software interface. All data speed, force and travel are collected and can be accessed via raw data export. The quantitative judgement of chip and cut resistance is provided by innovative parameter "P" as direct measuring result.

Coesfeld - Automatic Ring and Ball Tester

Automatic determination of the softening temperature of bitumen, bituminous mixtures, resins and thermoplastic adhesives. The device has a glass-ceramic heating field and a magnetic stirrer with adjustable speed built in underneath. It is operated via a touch panel. A microprocessor-controlled regulation with continuous temperature measurement in the beaker ensures a standard-compliant temperature rise of 5 K/min. The falling through of the balls is detected by a light barrier on the right and on the left and the respective temperature value is displayed digitally. At the same time, the difference between sample 1 and 2 is output. Three test modes can be preselected for water from 30 to 80 °C, glycerol from 80 to 150 °C and silicone oil from 30 to 200 °C.

Setaflash - Model 3 Series - High Temperature Tester

Flash point tester, semi-automatic, closed cup, RT up to 300 °C. The Setaflash-Tester uses a gas ignitor and Test Cup with Lid and Shutter. All functions on the Series 3 flash point tester are accessed via a colour digital display and touch screen icons which guide the operator through a straightforward testing process. The digital display shows test parameters, instrument status, and the test result. Automatic flash detection.

Setaflash - Model 3 Series - Active Cool Tester

Flashpoint tester, semi-automatic, closed cup, 10 °C to 135 °C. The Setaflash tester includes a lift-up lid with integrated gas or electric ignition and a permanently installed test cup. All functions, test parameters, device status and the test result are displayed and operated via the color touch screen. Flash point determination is performed using the Flash/ No Flash equilibrium method in the temperature range of 10°C to 130°C. In ramp mode, the sample temperature is increased with a gradient of 2°C/ min. An internal barometer measures the air pressure. Barometer correction of the measured flash point is automatic. The Setaflash tester has Peltier cooling for flash point testing below room temperature and rapid cooling after testing. Flash point detection is automatic. Up to 100,000 stored results can be exported from the instrument via the integrated USB port.
