Our forged and friction welded pipes are state of the art in drill pipes. This technology can increase resistance on the weld, which is obtained by the upsetting of the extremity of the tube where the friction weld is made, coupled with the extreme strength of the special steel used for the production of the tool joints and the maximized life of the threads thanks to the nitriding heat treatment made on the threads.

The forged one piece pipes are obtained with a special upsetting process which is unique in the world. In fact, we proud ourselves in the fact that we are the only ones in the world able to manufacture these pipes in one single process obtaining a perfect orientation of the steel fibers that remove any kind of tension due to the upsetting. The steel choice makes this drill pipe leader in quality.

Shock absorbers are built following criteria that maximize the efficiency, durability and ease of assembly and disassembly. They serve to protect the rotary drilling machine from shocks generated by the utensils on the bottom of the hole (such as hammers down the hole). They are provided in a wide range of threads and diameters.

Augers respond to the same construction standards and quality as the friction welded rods; they are made using steels with high mechanical strength and ensure fundamental requirements of  reliability. Outside diameters available range from a minimum of 101mm to a maximum of 250mm and the tubes used range from a diameter of 60mm to a diameter of 90 mm. On request, we can provide augers with carrying anti-wear.

Friction drill pipes for reverse circulation are used in applications where the priority is to recover all debris produced during drilling or when it is necessary to prevent the drilling fluid to be dispersed into the subsoil. This type of rod, therefore, has two separate channels for the circulation of drilling fluid. Colli Drill produces rods for reverse circulation with diameters between 90 and 220 mm.

Casings are manufactured according to standard API 5CT, in use in the petroleum field. To ensure superior characteristics to this product, each casing has been obtained by welding to the pipe extremity the two threaded connections, previously treated thermo-chemically, in order to give the threads a superficial hardness. The result is a smoother unscrew of the casing and consequently a significant increase in wear resistance. As for the rods, even in the production of the casings, we use friction welding quality steel that is highly selected. The result is a product with high mechanical properties, durability, and reliability.

This year we are pleased to introduce our new line of down the hole hammers: Destroyer Series. They are the result of years of research and implementation of the latest technologies that make them unique in their kind and able to compete with the big brands in this sector. The state-of-the-art production plant uses top quality heat treated steels in Nickel-Chromium alloy and processes that meet ISO 9001: 2015 standards. This process of excellence ensures the reliability and longevity of every single hammer. Our deep hole hammers are born with different attachments and to adapt to different needs: MACH, DHD, SD, QL, and Mission.
