For watt-scale power applications, the DataRAY offers fast payback through autonomous operation. The system offers substantial reduction in the total cost of ownership by avoiding expensive and time-consuming labor and vessel time for recovery/recharge/redeploy cycles. The product can carry its own payload, provide communications and data-storage functions, and be moored or free-floating.

SeaRAY autonomous offshore power system for resident vehicles, sensor packages, and operating equipment (50 watts to 20 kWs).

StingRAY for megawatt-scale needs (>500kW). For the MW-scale StingRAY, we are focused on powering remote equipment working with companies like Transocean and Siemens on applications that include drill rig, marginal field, and remote field electrification. As new fields move further away from power sources or the resource can’t justify the CapEx of a typical cabled or manned installation, power from our systems (similar to Equinor’s Hywind) can enable more profitable or previously non-viable activities. While this application is more focused on cost of operation, the cost threshold is many multiples above mainland electricity costs, plus it delivers lower emissions.
