Water Purification

Reverse Osmosis for Separation Process

Reverse osmosis is a separation process that uses pressure to force a solvent through a membrane that retains the solute on one side and allows the pure solvent to pass to the other side. More formally, it is the process of forcing a solvent from a region of high solute concentration through a membrane to a region of low solute concentration by applying a pressure in excess of the osmotic pressure. This is the reverse of the normal osmosis process, which is the natural movement of solvent from an area of low solute concentration, through a membrane, to an area of high solute concentration when no external pressure is applied. The membrane here is semipermeable, meaning it allows the passage of solvent but not of solute.

Corodex RiverPure - Treatment of Sweet River Water

Treatment of sweet river water to World Health Organization (WHO) drinking water standards. RiverPure packaged units are designed and constructed to achieve purified water with quality that meets or exceeds WHO standards from turbid and salty sweet river water. The units are simple to operate with low maintenance cost. The package includes coagulation and flocculation, lamella plates settling, sand and activated carbon filtration, polishing 5 or 10 micron cartridges in addition to dual oxidation system using UV and chlorine for efficient disinfection of treated water. The treated water quality is monitored via pH and TDS meters. The plant operation is totally automated via PLC based control panel. Tanks and frames are constructed from epoxy coated steel with 304 SS available as optional construction material.

Corodex DialysisPure - Purification of Water

Purification of water to the quality required for Hemodialysis machines.

Media Filtration Process of Removing Solids

Media filtration is the process of removing solids from water by passing it through a porous filter media such as sand, anthracite, Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) or a combination.

Activated Carbon (AC) Filtration

Activated Carbon (AC) Filtration- is an effective method of dealing with suspended solids, oils and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC`s within contaminated water. An activated carbon filter, can treat the water, separate solids and waste and remove contaminants thereby returning safe, remediated water back into the environment.

Corodex - Water Softener

Reduction and removal of calcium and magnesium hardness. Various types of hardness removal softeners with different control and automation options are available. Material construction of softeners tanks includes: rubber or special epoxy coated steel, stainless steel and polyethylene lined fiberglass. Hardness exchange resins used are only from reputed manufacturers to ensure consistent production of hardness-free water. Single, twin, duplex, and multiplex softener configurations are available to the required capacity and intermittent or continuous mode of operation. Timer and meter initiated regeneration process are available using standard softeners, heads, stagers, or PLC based control systems. In special cases, where raw water hardness varies, an on-line hardness monitoring system is used to initiate the regeneration.

Corodex - Deionizer Systems (DI)

Total removal of total dissolved cat-ions and an-ions. Corodex Deionizer (DI) systems are available to provide a total dissolved solids removal required for boiler, electronics, pharmaceutical or other application which requires high quality water such high quality water. The complete deionization process is automatically controlled via automatic heads or via infactory designed and built PLC based control systems. Deionization process configuration includes basic cationic and anionic beds. Other configuration includes mixed beds, degasifiers, and membrane gas stripping systems for bacterial free water content. Material construction of DI tanks includes: rubber or special epoxy coated steel, stainless steel and polyethylene lined fiberglass. Hardness exchange resins used are only from reputed manufacturers to ensure consistent hardness-free water.

Corodex - Chemical Injection

Used for pH adjustment, Chlorination, Dechlorination. For various applications that need chemical injections with manual and/or automatic injection rate controls, Corodex Industries provides complete injection packages. The package includes all necessary dosing pumps, controllers, solution tanks, mixers, level switch all mounted on a frame. Tanks in plastic and 316 SS tanks are available for use with exothermic dilution reactions.

Corodex - Forced Draft Degasifiers

Reduction of CO2 and H2S from RO feed, RO permeate, cation exchange beds effluent and contaminated underground water. Corodex forced draft degasifiers are constructed from Polyethylene (PE) or Glass Reinforced Plastic with SS 316 distribution nozzles and Polypropylene stripping media. The degasifier is factory assembled complete with blower. The collection tank, circulation pump, chemical injection system and control panels are available as optional items.

Wastewater Treatment

EFLO - High Rate Biological Wastewater Treatment

EFLOMBR (Membrane Bioreactor) is designed with special submerged flat sheet membranes, with membrane pore size 0.2µm. The membranes are made of Polyethersulfone for enhanced performance in the presence of grease. EFLOMBR achieves the Suspended Solids (SS) Removal of up to 99.7%. Typical applications for EFLOMBR include but not limited to municipal and domestic sewage treatment, mobile or temporary sewage treatment, industrial wastewater biological treatment, and grey water treatment. The system can be installed above or below the ground, or it can be mobile if it’s a skid mounted for temporary/emergency use.
