Cone - Auto Rotation Log Turner

Main Frame and Slide Shafts: Cone employs heavy wall square and rectangular steel tubing in the construction of log turner frames. Tubes are extensively braced with plates in all high-stress areas. Mounting pads with leveling screws are provided. Slide shafts are 4" diameter, chrome plated. Slide bushings are long-lasting hard bronze, protected by rod scrapers.

Cone - Dual-Hopper Log Shaver Machine

The Dual Hopper Log Machine`s heavy duty construction is designed and built for long life in constant production. The machine is free standing with foot-pads suitable for bolting down and is ready for immediate connection to the electrical supply. A controls console is also available. All Dual Log Box Shavers are delivered fully guarded and fitted with necessary isolation switches to meet safety regulations. All Cone Machinery equipment is supplied in accordance with OSHA guide lines (unless otherwise stated).

Cone - Chipping Section

Bottom Head: The bottom head produces a key on the bottom of the log that is used to guide the log through the rest of the chipping module, running on a heavy machined guide bar. Side Heads: This side heads machine material off of each side of the log as it passes between them. The side heads are mounted in heavy frames that slide on a machined slide base. Hydraulic linear positioner cylinders move the heads to make various cant widths. Each side head frame carries a driven vertical feed roll to help pull cants through the machine.

Cone - Infeed Section

Main Frame: Heavy steel main frame, tube and plate construction, 1/2" thick minimum. Mounts for log scanner units may be incorporated into the frame. Bottom Chains and Chain Beds: Modern bottom chains are built using specially designed roller chain with shaped attachments welded to it. They run full length of the infeed mounted on a moveable chain bed. The chains have v-shaped guides on the bottom surface, preventing any lateral movement. The elevation of the bottom chain bed is adjusted by a hydraulic linear positioning cylinder, to vary the amount of wood chipped off by the canter bottom head.
